Saturday Meeting

Doing Lots Of Things On Saturday

Like I thought, it was really hard to get up.
But I did and went to work on Saturday to write a report.
And went to my parent's house to be fed.
My favorite gratin!

And have my assistant to a family restaurant which is close to my apt at 11pm.
We had to have a little meeting about design we are working on.
Doing design for packages for our new products kicks our ass, but we can't wait they will be on market soon.
Staying up late tonight again.

Nails Done @2AM

Two In The Morning

Look what I got today.
I got my nails done.
I got 2 alphabets on my nails.
Today I had so much thing to do, so I stayed at office a little late.
These day, we try to cut overtime work so thought I could go to my nail artist’s house earlier, but I could not.
So we started at 9PM and it took almost 6 hours.

I also got pedicure.
These are what I wanted.
I fell asleep while my nail artist was doing this.
It seems like I was more tired that I thought.
I was driving home at 2:30 in the morning and thinking,
“Damn, I will waste my day tomorrow. Cuz I would sleep whole day…”
Anyway, it was worth to get these manicure and pedicure!
I will enjoy them for a couple weeks!

About My New Life

Little Bit About My New Life

It will be 3-4 month till I move back to the US.
I still don’t know if I would get visa.
I need to wait one more month to get the result.
Before that, I was introduced to GM of one branch of a company which I will work for in the US.
He is like 50 years old guy, and he was really tough.
I mean, he was very strict.
He asked me so many times why I want to get that job and if I still want to get the job.
I thought he was mean at the first time, but I finally realize that he try to help me understanding what I can do when I get the job.
He gave me some good advice.
He just did not want me to get the job without much thought.
And of course, he figured that I took that very seriously because it maybe the biggest decision I have made.
I got to know good parts about the job and also the dart part about my new job.
I was lucky to meet that guy tonight.

I wonder how my new life would be.
Oh before that, I wonder when I can get the Visa!!!
Frustrated!!

I Am Full

I ate at PONTE VECCHIO tonight with members of Board of Directors.
This is appetizer.
Cold corn soup with Foiegras and Bruschetta with Mozzarella and uncured ham.

A sweetfish with cucumber and watermelon souce and watermelon sorbet.
I really liked it.

Nodoguro(Fish name) meunire.
It was good.

Spaghetti with something something something.
It was too salty.

Spaghetti with rabbit meet.
I did not like it.

Lamb.
I had already been too full there.
I could not eat all...
But it was good.

Watermelon with syrup.
Before we go to desert.

Soufflé!!!
It was very very good!

Anyway, I am too full.
I can't write anymore tonight.

How To Be A Cool Business Person?

I have a problem at work now.
I tried to solve so I was thinking how to fix it so hard last night.
I fugured how it happened, but could not figure out how to fix it.
So I made an appointment with my dad at work, and asked him what to think.
I have not talked about this kind of stuff to my dad for a while.
He gave me a strict advise.
I used to cry when he was strict to me, but I did not cry today.
I understood what he meant.
And I was glad to ask him advise.

I was disappointed with myslef that I still can't solve my problem by myself, but at the same time, I felt that I might have grown up that I no longer cry at work.

After work, I went to Hula.
And got this handmade earing from my friend.
Nice to get something made by my friend's hand.

Dinner With My Boss

Eating With My Boss Is Part Of Work

I went to eat out with my boss.
He wanted to go by ourselves, since he wanted to hear my vision in near future.
I got so tired of him asking me the same question over and over.
He was like,
"I know somthing's going on with you. Tell me about it."
When I say that nothing going on, he insists that he knows everything.
So I was like,
"Then tell ME what's new with me? What do you know? Oh, you mean about my marrige? You heard about it!"
Then he goes,
"Oh, you are getting married?"
See? He does not know anything about me.
He tried to make me say my secret by telling me a lie.
Of course I won't get married, and I also am not going to tell him about me leaving this company soon.
I just don't trust him.
He has a big big mouth.

So I took my assistant with me and our dinner was on him!

We had a good time, but he compalined that I took my assistant with me.
Geee, why do I have to tell all my secret to my boss.
Where is my privacy!!!

Spending Time W My Family

My sis's cooking and My Mom's

This is what my sis cooked for me last night.
She is like my favorite uncle in the US.
She cooked everything I like.
And bunch of them.
I ate too much.
In this morning, before she goes to work at a restaurant, she served me breakfast.
After the breakfast, I went home and clean my apt like I thought last night.
It got a little better.
I clean once a week, but alwasys need a little more...


I went to my parent's house for dinner tonight.
My dad was ina good mood.
It makes me happy when he is in a good mood.
I love his "Family Mode".
I love my mom's cooking too.
I have eaten good homemade cooking two days in a row.

After dinner, my mom and I went to UNIQLO.
This is what I got for my PJ.
Also slippers, which is really comfortable.
It is fun to shop at UNIQLO!

Photo Shooting

Photo Shoot & Drama Night

Today was the photo shoot day.
I went to a studio and took 4 photos.
To take 4 phots, it took 6 hours...
I am soooo tired...

The photographer was very famous and takes really nice pictures.
At the same time, he is very sensitive and he has such strong opinions about photos.
He took two young assistants, and he yelled at them a couple times.
While they are taking photos, I had to stand whole time and told them what I want.
It is a hard work, and my feet hurts!


But the good thing is that we could eat whole items we took.
We had a great tea time after the photo shoot.
I am very satisfied that we could get good pictures which will be on our package.

After my work, I went to my sis's and watched American dramas.
I had nice home cooking dinner nad had a fun night with my sis.
I feel jealous about my sis’s apt.
It smelled really good, and every single thing in her apt is so cute.
What I am thinking is that I should go home tomorrow and clean my apt like my sister's.

Hooking Up

Friends Night

I introduce my dad's golf friend to my nail artist.
They are 44 and 43 years old.
Both are nice persons, so we wished it would be great if they would get married.
It went well, and they, my sis and I had a nice Italian dinner night.

After the hook up, I invited my other nail artist to my favorite bar and have them two meet up.
They used to work together, and they lost touch, so three of us met up together and enjoyed girl's talk.
When we realized, it was already 1 in the morning.
It was such a nice night.
I wish we could stay longer but I have to work tomorrow morning...
We will have girl's night again soon!

Wasting My Time

Am I Devil??

I went for sales with my new assistant today.
She is 22 years old.
I have already felt "generarion gap".
Was I like her when I was 22?
Hard to communicate with her somehow.
I only can treat her like as my students, so maybe I am too strict to her...

I went for dinner with one of my old friend.
Friend? No, but someone whom I have known for a while.
He has asked me out for dinner for a while, and I said I was too busy each time.
However, he had never given up.
I was chicken, I could not say no at the end.
So today was the day.
He is a nice guy, but we have nothing common.
And more than that, it is too boring to have dinner with him.
I love going out for dinner with someone.
I don't get bored when I am with someone.
But he is the only one who makes me bored.
I tried sooo hard to pretend that I was not bored at all.
So he said,
"We will definitely should go out to eat again soon."
I was like,
"S, S, S, Sure..."
Glad that he did not realize how I felt tonight.
I want to learn how to say "No" to him.
I think I feel sympathy to him.
He is not a type of boys whom I usually hung out with.
So I don't know how to treat this type of guy.

Ah, today I thought myself that I am a devil.
Ah, I feel guilty to write like this about him here.
But could not help it...

Noodle Day

This is my lunch today at Thai restaurant.
I had thai noodle.

After lunch, I went to our designer's house.
She is a mother of a little girl.
The girl is only one and a half year old, and hard to communicate.
But she was so adorable.
The designer asked me if I like kids.
It was hard to say that I don't...
I have known her for 4 years so I knew her when she was not a mother.
She smoked and drank hard.
And she hated kids.
But now she is such a good mother who does not smoke or drink.
People change!
I hope I will too...

This is my dinner.
My friend, Saito-kun, owns and runs this restaurant.
He got a lot better.
I took tow of my assistants to this place.
We all had a quick nice dinner!

My Dinner Tonight

Ahhhh wearing a mask is sooo stressful.
After work, I went to Hula lesson.
I was late, so I danced only foe one hour.
It wasn't that bad today.
But still it is getting more difficult.

I cooked? tonight.
Lately, I try to eat something I make, even though they were so simple.
Tonight's menu is white rice with Natto and the young of the sardine with my favorite dish.
It is so simple, but tasted good.
Much better than riceball from convenience store.
I got this bowl in Vietnam.
Love this cute orange bowl!!

Influenza

Too Big Of A Deal

Since we got lots of people who got pig influenza, we had to have masks whole time at work.
We are not allowed to go outside of the office.
People who visit us have to wear mask and wash their hand.
From tomorrow, we have to check our fever before we get into our office.
Is this something we have to care this much?

I worked till late today and cooked dinner after I got home.
I cooked pretty well.
I am too lazy to cook, but I think I love cooking!!

Hiding In House

We finally got some patients who got pig influenza in Osaka, my town.
So I decided not to go anywhere and stay home.
Well, I have planned not to do anything anyway.

It seems like the pig influenza is getting such a big deal.
All my business trips, even in Japan, got canceled.
We have to have masks when we go out of our house.
For me, not allowing to go abroad is bigger deal.
What about my trip to Indonesia this summer??
Ahhhhhhh.

I had nothing to do today, so I took a blue bath.
It felt goooooooood.

Hair Care

Caring My Hair

I got home from Tokyo this afternoon.
It was so hard to get up this morning, so I almost missed my noon flight.
I did not put any make-up on and ran to the airport.
I got a phone call from my friend, Tomoki, who was at Osaka airport at the same time.
He said that we should see each other since we were at the same place.
I was too embarrassed to see anybody with no make-up so we didn’t.
You never know when you see people.
Such a small world…

After I went back to Osaka, I had lunch at the airport.
And went to get massage.
And put make-up on and left to my hair salon.
Since my hair artist is my ex boyfriend, he gives me a big discount all the time.
I had a little haircut and had hair spa.
And I bought so much hair care goods.
Not all of them are mine, but I bought some for my family and my friend.
He gave discount for these goods too.
He and I are such good friends now and I even can’t believe that we had dated for three years long 8 years ago.
Some people say that they don’t keep in touch with exes, but I do.
Cuz all of them had been like my family, and what is the reason to hate them?
All of them are people whom I still care, like I care my hair!

Is A Celebrity My Friend?

Walk Around In Tokyo

I had so many appointments today.
Figuring out how to get there and how much time it takes are very difficult for me.
I am not good at reading map…

I talked with people at Tully’s Japan.
I hope they use our products…
The place I had to go after the appointment was much closer that I thought, so I had lunch.
This was my lunch today.

After couple more appointments, I went to a reception of a famous restaurant.
It was renewed by my friend.
There were so many people to celebrate the traditional restaurant.
I bet more than 200 people.
I saw one of the most famous celebrity in Japan.
“Mino Monta” a big name guy, who is on TV every single day.
We had eye contacts for 5 seconds, and I almost say “Hi”.
I got confused that I have known him for a long time.
Of course I had known him for a long time through TV, but he had no idea who I was.
Recently, I saw lots of celebrities on a flight to go to Tokyo or at party in Tokyo.
Since Japan is such a small island, we see a lot of people.
Each time I see them, I misunderstand that they are my friends.
Weird…
Don’t you feel the same way when you see a celebrity?

Walking Around And Eating A lot

I have worked at office in Tokyo and tried to leave but could not.
There was tons of stuff to do there.
Finally I could leave and went to a casual French restaurant, which we might buy.
I had to go there, but I felt embarrassed to go to French restaurant by myself.
So I tried calling some of my friends in Tokyo to go there with me.
However, I could not make them come with me.
So I went by myself.
I bet all people who were there felt weird seeing me there eating expensive lunch by myself.
I loved their appetizer!

This is main course I had.
I like scallops lately.
They were so good too.

Here are deserts I had.
Their deserts were just okay.
But look how cute they are!

My work today was visiting lots of cafe to sell out new products.
No appointment, but just go, and all them when I get close to the cafe.
Most of them say okay to see me.
But very difficult to make them be interested.
Sometimes it is depressing, but sometimes I feel really happy when they get interested in my sales.
Sale is difficult...
Especially the part finding where to go and walking there.
I went to see a dietician of pets.
She is one of my favorite career women.
We went to eat buffet together and talked a lot.
I had such a good time.

Today, I talked a lot and ate a lot.
Felt like I worked a lot!

Arriving In Tokyo

My Bed In Tokyo

I just arrived in Tokyo.
I will stay here in Tokyo for 3 nights on business.
This is a hotel room I stay every time I come to Tokyo lately.
My bed is the best, but still I can sleep well on this bed at this hotel.
It is just a small business hotel, but much nicer than other hotels.

I have been busy today at work in Osaka.
Most of my job now is dealing about design.
It is fun, but lots of work.
I worked till 7 and left to Tokyo.
Since I got here late, my dinner tonight was junk food from convenience store.
How sad is that…
But I will have good food from tomorrow for work.
Getting excited!!

Do I Love To Talk?

I Thought I Was...

It was such a busy day at work.
Lots of people came to see me today and each person stayed at my office for one hour.
Most of them were someone whom I first met today.
Maybe I was nervous or something so I got soooo tired.
I thought myself that I love to talk with people.
However, I don’t love talking anymore now.
Spending time to meet people made me have less time to do my own work.
Meeting with people is also a big part of my work, but it is getting to make me more tired that I expect…
The last meeting today was at a studio.
We had a long meeting for our photo shoot on 5/23.
The photographer was the famous guy and he had such a strong opinion so we took a long time to compromise each other.
I am excited to have photo shoot now, and I am sure it will be a good one.
Since I was exhausted by talking many kinds of people, I really did not feel like going for a Hula lesson.
More than that, my Hula lesson is getting harder and harder.
But I did.
And I am glad that I did.
It was tough, but I think I got a little better now, still hard though…
Today, I got a package from my friend.
Always so happy to get a letter.

Loosing Hair

I Lost My Hair

Lately, I'm worried because hair comes out a lot.
I asked my hair artist, and he said it is because of stress.
Everyone tells me that I have too much stress.
But do I?
I complain a lot about work here on my blog, but it is just a complain, but not such big stress, I think.
Maybe I should realize how I feel about my daily life and deal with it well.
This is my today's lunch.
I love my lunch time the best of a day, that is how I can get away from my stress, I guess.

Happy Mother’s Day

Mom & Roses

It was a mother’s day.
I slept in today and had a very relaxing day.
At night I went to my parents’ house with my sis to deliver these spray roses.
We wrote a letter and I promised to be a daughter whom she can be proud of.

She was happy to have flowers and I felt happy to be all my family together and eat dinner together.
My dad got quite drunk, maybe because he was too excited.

We talked about my grandpa who passed away when I was ten years old.
My aunt told my mom that I insisted my grandpa to play with me with my tea sets.
He was such a strict guy and nobody could talk casually to him but me.
Of course I don’t remember and I remember that my grandpa was such a strict tough guy.
But seems like I treated him as a normal grandpa.
I wish I could talk with him more and I still wanna talk with him and ask him about my work.
Anyway, it was a day I though of my grandpa.
I guess I miss him…

After A Long Meeting

Because It Was A Nice Day

It was like a summer day.
Very sunny, even hot.
I woke up early and left to office to attend a meeting of a month.
It was such a long meeting as usual.
I used to fell in a sleep during the meeting, but not anymore.
Maybe because I have an idea what they are talking about since I know more about our company than before.

Since it was such a nice day today, I went to have my car washed.
Now my car is really really clean!
And I did laundry, changed my bed and made dinner.
I went to have my nails done from 9PM.
I love my nail artist, and we talked a lot.
Because it was a nice fine sunny day, I felt really good.

Buffet And Drinking

Eating Is What I DO

This was my lunch today.
Because of the research, I went to buffet restaurant and had so many sweets.
I should be able to loose lots of weight after I quit this job.
It was $36 US lunch, quite expensive.

After work, I went out to drink with usual member from work.
Once a month, we get together and drink together.
Today was the day I started drinking again.
I have stopped drinking since I entered hospital.
I had drinks a couple time, but each time I had stomachache, so I had been careful about drinking.
Seems like I have not gotten stomachache yet.
Good sign!

Today's Lunch

I went to a famous Italian restaurant for work for lunch.
I was lucky that I could go to the restaurant on company expense.
It was the one that I have wanted since I read about it on magazine.
These are appetizers.

This is asparagus soup.
It was just all right, but I needed it to be a little saltier.

This is my favorite dish on today’s lunch.
It is uncured ham and onion spaghetti.
Uh, it was yummy.

This is our main course.
I forgot what, but meat.

This is desert, which made me disappointed.
The presentation was pretty good, but it was just so normal.
The waiter was a French guy who talks a lot, a lot and a lot.
Total, this restaurant was less than my expectation.
When you expect a lot, there is much chance that you get disappointed...
Sad...

Sleeping Is The Favorite Thing To Do

I stayed up late with doing laundry and cleaning my room last night.
So I slept in this morning.
I woke up and waited a guy who fix my microwave.
My microwave was recalled for danger of fire.
An old guy visited me to fix and I was not comfortable having unknown person for 30 minutes.
But seems like he was a real fixing guy from the company.

Anyway, I watched HEROES, the American video for whole day with cooking and sleeping.
Also I watching a video from a trip we had in Vietnam.
Seriously, the traffic was there was pretty bad, but we had a good time.

It seems like I got tired from busy vacation more than I thought but now I am healed.
I gotta get up really early for a party for our company foundation day.

Busiest Day Ever

From Vietnam to Japan

I was back from Vietnam today.
I could sleep whole time on the airplane and got back to Japan at 7:30 in the morning.
Soon after I checked my cell phone, I got text from my friends from college.
So I decided to go back to my apt and get rested a bit and left to see my friends.
Do I look like that I am a mother? Maybe not.
Maiko and Mikako brought their baby and husband.
So weird that my friends from college have already got married and have babies.
I am not good with babies, but I hung out with them for a couple of hours.

And left to my parents’ house to hang out with my dad.
We talked a lot about my trip and gave souvenirs to my mom and my sis.
Both liked everything!
And went to a nursing home to see my grandma and her maid.
I told them what I have done in Vietnam.
And had dinner with all of my family, which is getting rare these days.
We enjoyed very delicious mom’s cooking.
It was a “Children Day”, national holiday in Japan, so my mom cooked all our favorite dishes.
Then left to a lesson for Hula.
Jeez, I got back from Vietnam and I was tired, but I danced Hula pretty hard.
It is getting so difficult and hard.
I finally got home at 10:30 PM and took a bath.

Wow, it was the busiest day ever.
I feel myself such a tough girl.
I am so ready to be lazy doing nothing tomorrow.
One more day left to go back to work after my long vacation.

Good Bye Vietnam

Last Day In Vietnam


We did not have to start our day that early today since we have done most of it yesterday.
So it was like a reviewing day.
We did everything we liked yesterday.
We went to a Pho restaurant close to a farmer's market today and had Pho again.

Today farmer's market was crazy.
We were like celebrities.
People who worked there tried so hard to stop us.
"Madam! Here! Ceap! You are cute! Come on! Here!"
Once we stop, we HAVE TO buy studd, otherwise, they don't let us go.
I think they are tough speaking so many kinds of languages.

After the market, we walked around and went to all favorite stores and other stores for shoping.
And got tired so went to a diffrent massage place.
Massage everyday? It was like a heaven.
It was very good massage again today.
And we went back to the Vietnaese wrap restaurant again and ordered somehting new for us.
It was for our dinner.

We walked around and did some more shopping and we got totally broke!
So went back to our hotel and took picture with our costume.
I had some time left to catch midnight flight to Osaka, Japan.
We wore Vietnamese traditional dress, which we could not refuse buying at the farmer's market.
Thanks to Ayako, we had such a great trip in Vietnem.
This might be the best trip ever.
I think I am in love with Vietnam.
I am so ready to go back there soon.
