After A Long Meeting
I thought it would be difficult to get up this morning since I went to bed at 3 in the morning, but I made it.
However, I took taxi to go to work because I wanted to read my paper for meeting.
It was pretty long meeting but interesting.
I am getting used to this meeting.
After the meeting I went to my parents’ and had dinner with them.
And I went to massage place to get Shiatsu.
I go there every other week.
Ahhh, I am so sleepy although it is only 10 PM now.
I gotta get up early for shopping to go shopping!
I will go find what I want from Santa for this Christmas.
Santa, please stop here!
Jr Meeting
Too many meeting every single day.
It is important to have meeting for each project, but I feel my day passes only for meetings and have hard time to carry things out.
Anyhooooo.
I left office little early and met up with my new friend I made from Tokyo.
She came to join Umeda Jr meeting with me.
It is a meeting for Jr who is running or who will run business in Osaka.
There are 38 to 40 mostly men joined the meeting and get to know each other for future connections in business.
We listened a speech from politician and it was really interesting.
Since she had to go back to Tokyo on that day after spending 3 hours in Osaka, I left the meeting with her.
Therefore, I could go home much earlier that I expected.
I drunk and drove today.
Bad….
Since I came home early enough, I could have nice bath time in a dark.
Very nice with aroma oil with lamp.
Busy Busy Day
I was not that busy this morning, but since this afternoon, I had been so busy.
I got such short time for lunch, becuase I never knew when my boss caled me for board of Director meeting.
I did a presentation about Organic, which I saw from a convention in LA last month.
After the meeting, I had a couple appointments with some people who wants to do sales to me.
Recently, I am trying to meet as many people as I can.
Since people from outside now know that I am the head of R&D department, everyone calls me to see me to do business with us.
First I rejected to see them, because I would not have anytime to work for myself if I met every single person.
But now I decided to see them because I should not forget how to welcome people.
Because of my title, I might have been too snobbish...
After these appointments, finally I did my stuff.
But most of the time, I had a meeting with my boss.
Everytime after the Board of Director's meeting, I get so much work suddenly...
These day, I really appreciate to my assistants.
They work really hard for me.
I really feel that work in a team is great.
I hope this happy work days would last long.
Boring Meeting but Nice and Slow Saturday
Today was the once-a-month boring meeting.
Because my boss’s son entered high school today, so the meeting started from 1PM instead of from 9:30.
My assistant came to pick me up at my apt, and went to office at 11AM to prepare.
The good part of today’s meeting was that it was such a short meeting unusually.
1 o’clock to 6 o’clock.
5 hours meeting!
I know it is still long, but if I did not remind my boss about how long he had been talking, it would be much longer one, probably till 1AM tomorrow…
After the meeting, I went to eat my mom’s cooking.
It had been a while since the last time I ate at my parents’ house, I felt.
Today, I have time to relax by myself at my apt, so now I am cleaning my apt and doing some laundry.
Tomorrow I will attend my friend’s wedding again.
I still have not decided what to wear.
The dress or that dress??

All Day Meeting On A Snowy Day
Nothing much happened today.
I just got upset at the meeting because it was ridiculously long!!
I drove to my office today, and it started snowing when I left my apt.
I was really nervous driving on a snowing day without any snow tires.
Since the meeting was last for 10 hours like usual, I was getting annoying.
Like what a hell you guys wanna talk about for this long time!?
It was nothing to drive when it snowed in Denver when I lived there.
Now I miss Denver.
I wanna go back there sometime.
Denver was really cold but it was such a pretty town.
It was true that I thought Denver was such a boring town after I lived there for three years, but I guess I loved the town!
It is not normal to have this much snow in Osaka.
I had not seen this much snow since I was little.
I remember I made a big snowman in front of my house.
After a meeting at 7:30 PM, I drove back to my apt to pack my stuff and went to pick up my dog from my cousin’s.
He is a veterinarian and my dog was at his hospital for a night.
I went to pick her up and I am taking care of her since my mom and dad are not at home.
I will be able to sleep in tomorrow mooring with her next to me.
But this house is too big by myself and too cold here by myself…
Nothing much happened today, but I got such a relaxing night here.
Meeting With Alcohol
They are men who will be executives of our company after 20 years.
Well maybe…
We are all in the middle management now.
We are all suffering between subordinates and bosses by each way.
We decided to get together to talk about the future of our company.
One guy came from Tokyo, and we planned to do this a while ago.
Therefore, I could not say I could not go because I had so much stuff to do.
Tonight, I was not sure if I should left tonight.
Seriously, I am working pretty hard lately, but I feel horrible that I can’t get rid of them forever.
I feel ashamed that I was late to turn in my documents for the first time to a meeting on Saturday.
Well, I got it done today before Saturday meeting, but obviously I did not give enough time to other people to prepare for the meeting.
I still have lots of things to do for my former department, but whenever I try to work on them, I always get lots of other things to do for a new department.
I really don’t know what to do…
Okay, so I was with them, and I felt there is not sex discrimination at all in this company.
I don’t think they don’t know that I am a girl.
We drunk and talked not about work but about stupid stuff.
It was fun to hear what they think about their department.
Tonight one guy told me not to tell anybody that I travel abroad during my vacation time.
How come people don’t understand that I am financially independent?
Whatever I do fancy, they think that I get support.
Well, sometimes it is true, but most of the time I am taking care of myself.
Anyway, I want to go to Thailand again in May during my vacation!
I gotta get up early for a meeting tomorrow.
Totally I had a good time tonight, so I guess I made a good decision tonight.
I will cover my work tomorrow before the meeting!
Supposed To Go To Gym, Though
I attended the first morning meeting at R&D department today.
The meeting was 30 minutes earlier than a normal day.
I forgot how early I had to leave so I got my office one hour earlier than usual.
Everyone at my former department got so surprised to see me that early.
Because I got up really early I was sleepy, but I did not realize till I got home.
My day passes really fast.
There are tons of stuff to do at this new department.
Today was the only day I could go to gym, but I did not go.
I was called to my new boss’s room, and he told me to go out to drink.
I could not say, “No”.
I should have gone, I know…
However, I was pretty happy with the menu tonight.
It was Kushikatsu!
We found a new Kushikatsu place close to our office.
It was really fancy Kushikatsu place, but we went on Dutch.
Damn, I have to spending so much money on food...
Ayyway, we talked about a plan of our department.
Besides a topic about work, we talked about English.
He said if I would make him be able to speak conversational English, he would pay 10 thousand dollars.
If he is not a liar, I would do it, but hard to find time now…
Awww, I need sleep, seriously…
Too Long
Long meeting is not effective thing to do.
People, please find an effective way to discuss about problems.
I don’t have time to be with old people to chat at work!!
Today is Saturday, and I totally waste my happy Saturday because of this stupid meeting.
If I were the one who direct the once a month meeting, I would do much better.
I would make everyone prepare much more.
I strongly believe that a long meeting is the MOST wasting time in this world.
To talk is important, but 10-hour-long meeting is ridiculous.
Management people who attended the meeting are all smart people so I can’t believe why they can’t figure about how to do a short meeting.
The other once a month meeting, which the owner and senior vice president attend, is much much shorter.
How come??
Well, I think this is enough complaint for today.
At this meeting, after lunch, we taste many kinds of trendy food.
R&D department picked up “organic Chocolate” for this month.
We tasted so many kinds of chocolates and some other stuff such as; bread, pudding, cookies and so on.
I got sick by eating too many chocolates during this meeting.
Somehow eating too many chocolates causes me headache.
Today was the first day to got to office by my own car.
I drive an orange color small car.
I was not allowed to go to work by car, but finally my dad gave me permission.
He told me not to be found about my car by many employees, although he let me drive to work.
Excuse me??
My car is orange!
It is impossible.
One employees has already figured out that I drove to work.
Everyone knows my color and orange is very bright unusual color for car.
Anyway, it was nice that I could drive to work today, but I got lost on the way back home.
Auch…
Wasting My Time?
Once a month, I attend management meeting with some board of directors at our company.
Since I am not a board of director, I attend the meeting as an observer, which means I can’t give any of my opinion about what they are talking.
The meeting was unbelievably long, 9 hours long!!!
The record was 12 hours, so we could not break the record...
Actually, I just think it is ridiculous.
They will have another meeting three days later with the owner about the decision they made at today’s meeting.
This is why today’s meeting was so long to get ready for the owner meeting.
I don’t get to attend the meeting with the owner, but I attend the previous meeting to learn things.
I learn how much we need to shorten the time of our meeting.
I fell a sleep during the meeting today, since we had to eat so many sweets sample at the meeting today.
When I get too full, I get sleepy and moreover the contents of the meeting at that time were quite boring.
They realized that I was sleeping, so they decided to take 5 min break.
I was scold that I should not sleep.
He was right! I shouldn’t, but they should not make me feel sleepy!
To keep myself up, after the meeting, I was thinking about other stuff.
(Of course, I join the meeting seriously when they talk about serious topics)
First, I wrote time schedule for this weekend.
Next, I listed up what I want to buy, because lately I LOVE shopping!
Third, I drew my room and planned how I can move my furniture.
Last, I was thinking about my money management since I don't keep track my money lately.
I made some goals for year 2007, but I could not achieve most of them, so in year 2008, I would like to achieve them for sure.
I stooped by one place to get a snoopy account book for 2008.
Also, for good luck on my new snoopy project and pancake project, I bought a chain for my cell phone, which was a pancake and snoopy.
Anyway, it was not an exciting day today, but I was happy that I could list up many things and now I know what I need to do this weekend.
I hate long meeting...
