Still Having Stomachache

Today was my first day of work in year 2009.
I know there would be a celemony, but I was not sure what time it would be.
But I knew that I overslept this morning.
So tied my hair up and took my make-up stuff in my car and put my make-up on in my car.
Oh thank god, I was just on time!!
It was so nice to see all the familiar faces.
I worked a lot and attended lots of meetings today like I did not have any vacation.
I felt good today, but I am not sure how long this feeling would last...
I keep in touch with the guy from the other night, and I will go on a date tomorrow.
Because I said that I still have a bad stomachache from lots of food from New Year's, he said he would take me a place which will release my stomachache.
He is such a sweet guy and texts me a lot in a day.
I love getting texts, but I have already felt tired of replying to all of them.
Not a bad meaning but I am just not used to.
Maybe because I have not felt comfortable yet...
Anyway, I went to a nail salon tonight after work.
I wanted to go the end of last year, but could not make an appointment.
I still have short nails for work, but decided to care them again in clean way.
Uhhhh, I have bad stomachahe now too.
Believe or not, last couple of days I only eat one meal.
I love eating but now eating makes me vomitting...
Oy...
Sad News
It was a normal day for me except a call from Tae.
I got call from Tae when I was working.
He suddenly called me and said he had to leave Japan tomorrow.
He was crying so bad over the phone so I knew something bad happened to him.
His grandma passed away today.
I had met her when I stayed his house back in Korea before for my summer vacation.
She was such a sweet grandma who was really nice to me.
She was in Japan when we did not treat well to Korean people long time ago.
So when she talked to me in Japanese and held my hand, I was so happy and I felt guilty about the time we had a war.
I thought she had such a big heart.
I hate myself that I could not find the right thing to say to him when he was crying.
Today was the last day for me to work at my department.
I will move to R&D department from tomorrow.
I felt a little sad when I was doing daily work at my office.
I am just gonna move to the next building, but it seems like a big deal to move there.
Tonight I had an appointment with my nail artist.
I got my nails really short for a lot of work waiting for me from tomorrow.
She has a tiny dog who sits on me all the time I was there.
She was such a cutie, and I got in love with her quickly.
I wish my dog were as friendly as she was so that more people would love her.
Look how she looked at me.
Can you believe that this was only the second time to see her?
Well, I am going to bed now with thinking of Tae’s grandma tonight.
Fisrt Day of My Winter Vacation
I am having such a good day today.
I woke up at 6am once and made sure that I did not have to go to work today and turned off all the lights I left on last night, AND put my PJ on since I was sleeping without PJ last night.
Anyway, I felt so happy that I could sleep in, like more than 12 hours!
So at 8 o’clock, I realize that I should not sleep anymore.
I even had a headache because I slept too long.
After I woke up, I started a big cleaning day of my apt.
I cleaned my air conditioner for the first time since I move to this apt.
My air conditioning was not that good for a while, and now I know why.
The inside of the air conditioner was soooo dirty.
It was fun to clean it, and now it works really well.
I cleaned one forth of my apt and went to Spa.
After spa, I went shopping and went to Chinese restaurant for my first food since yesterday lunch.
I went back home and did some more cleaning.
And Voila! I got my nails done.
My nail artist came to my apt for my winter vacation nails.
I had not got my nails done this much for a while since I had to go for sales to meet many people.
So tonight is the night I feel really happy by looking at my pretty nails!
Crazy Shopper
Finally I got one-day off from work today.
I wanted to sleep in, but also I did not want to waste my day off.
Thus, I made an appointment with my nail artist early this morning.
It has been a while since the last time I get my nail done.
Now I regret that I did, because they were not that pretty…
A part of the reasons was that I only can do simple nails now, not like before I did crazy nails.
I went to Wal Mart sort of place after that and bought lots of stuff.
I was going to get toilet paper, but I shopped $100 US…
It is always fun for me to go to that kind of store, because I can get many different items at one place.
I went to Spa that, and fell in sleep while I got massage.
Trips between Osaka to Tokyo every week make stiff shoulders.
Since the place I go for Spa is located in downtown, I could not help do more shopping.
There are sooooo many people in downtown because of Christmas.
I don’t know where they had been before this season…
I bought lots of pretty orange stuff.
I bought orange and brown cups and plates.
They were cheap, but I thought it would be cute to serve coffee and cookies when someone visits me.
Happily, someone came to visit me tonight so I have already gotten the opportunity to use them like on the picture above.
I was right! It was good idea to get them.
I gotta stop shopping, but I just love to see new stuff at my apt.
I don’t always shop, but when I start buying stuff once, I can’t stop.
Especially because tomorrow is my bonus day!!
Well, I still need to buy some Christmas presents, so after I finish, I will start saving money for sure!
Nails This Month
These are my nails this month.
I had my nail artist at my apartment late last night.
I am really lucky that I have someone who comes over my apartment to do my nails even late at night.
Unfortunately, I don’t have time to go to salon lately before they close.
I have to get my hail cut too, but have not been able to arrange the time…
I bet I look pretty bad now.
These are her some items she used to do my nails.
These shiny powders are really cute, and made me excited.
How come women love shiny stuff?
When I was in Beverly Hills, I went to some jewelry stores, which made me so happy.
I even sigh by seeing those beautiful accessories.
I wear rings all the time, but they were no longer shiny at all.
Finally, I shined them the other day.
Now I am happy with my shiny nails and my shiny rings.
Shiny stuff around me cheer me up especially in stressful days!
Missing Long Nails
I have been thinking to make my nails short, but never did.
These are the craziest I have ever done, right before I cut my nails.
I always wanted to polish my nails black so I did only for two and a half week I was in the US on business. (I know these are not appropriate nails for business trip either, but were a great hook when I talked with people!)
In food industry, to get customer’s trust, long nails are not appropriate.
However, I insisted that I could keep my nails long because I was not the one who cooks or who sells our products.
Once my boss asked me, “What would you do if I tell you to cut your nails or at least make them simple?”
I answered, “If it will be an order, I would obey you without understanding.”
Seriously, I did not mind to make my nails simple or short if that would affect my work as a professional businessperson, but I could not see any reasons unless I move to other department.
I cut my nails like this in a picture the other day.
First, I did not feel comfortable to show my nails since it was like I am walking outside without any clothes.
I still want to make my short nails neat from now on.
Because I think sometimes people judge you by looking especially in Japan at business situation.
They look how shiny my shoes are and how well I dress to be looked professional.
By looking at my fashion style, they try to see what kind of person I am.
I can’t be too fancy, but I also can’t be too boring or miserable to make other person feel attracted to me.
When I first started working in Japan, I was amazed how much it cost to meet their needs.
Now I have tons of suits, but not shoes.
I was just mentioned how bad I am looked with my old miserable shoes…
Right now I am too broke to get nice pair of shoes.
Anyway, I wrote a lot about how I have to dress at my company, but the reason why I did my nails simply because I loved it.
It was fun to keep them long and got arrangement.
I cut my nails only because I wanted to keep my nail healthy!
However, I have missed my long nails sooooo much.
I might go back again soon!
I could write this long entry with nail topic, so can you tell how much I am crazy about nails!!??
