Happy Wedding

Finally They Got Married

Since last night, I have cleaned my room.
Yeah, my room was that messy.
When my room is messy, my life style is messy too.
I had been so lazy and that’s why I got so fat lately.
When my room is clean, I care about myself well.

After I cleaned my room, I went to a beauty salon.
And left for my friend’s wedding.
He is one year older than I, and we were YMCA leaders.
After I stop volunteering at YMCA, I started teaching English to him.
He had had Peter Pan Syndrome.
He used to talk to me a lot about what he wanted, and each time I talked with him seriously.
I had been so worried about him although I am younger than he.
I cared about him a lot, so every time he did stupid childish thing, I never be able to hate him.
Last time he came over to my apt was midnight, he brought a business plan and he said he wanted to open his own business.
To be honest, the business plan was not that good, and I thought he would not make it, but we fixed it till the next morning.
Now he did open his own business successfully, and he got married with a girl whom he have dated for a long time!
He is such a successful man!

There were so many friends from YMCA.
These are people whom I went to camps in winter and summer.
Since we are now having such a different lives, we don’t get together much, so it was like a reunion.
It was fun to see old friends. (These people in this picture were just some of them)
We went out to drink after the wedding to chat more.

It was such a small wedding at a restaurant.
They invited all their friends, and we sigh for them to agree with their marriage.
Groom made a bouquet with a flower we had and gave to the bride.
They did not exchange marriage ring, but they exchange presents in front of us.
Since their religions were different, so it was not an usual wedding which I have ever seen.
It was small but such a cute one.
The bride is pregnant, so they will have a kid soon.
Both of them looked really happy, and I am pretty sure that they will have a happy life together.
I feel really good to see my friend’s happy face!!
I love attending weddings!

Masaru's Weeding

Happy Wedding Sunday

I woke up early this morning to leave to Tokyo to attend my best friend’s wedding.
I was excited about the wedding, but at the last minute, I started worrying about my dress.
I wasn’t sure if I was wearing the right dress for wedding.
Since I am always late for everything, I was about to be late for the wedding today.
I did not pay attention the schedule on the invitation card I got…
However, I was able to attend the ceremony at a chapel so I felt relived!
Worrying about time is always hassle and makes me tired more than necessary.
I should learn how to be on time someday soon.
Anyway, Masaru’s wedding ceremony was great.
I was so moved at the ceremony.
Somehow I had a weird feeling, hard to explain, but maybe because I was a friend of the groom.
Different feeling from the wedding ceremonies I attended for my girl friends.
Whenever I attend the ceremony at a chapel, I always think that wedding is such a big deal.
There are some couples who never had a wedding, but I think people should do a ceremony even it were a small one.

After the ceremony, we attended their wedding party with having luxury lunch.
The bride, Aki, changed to a pink dress from the wedding dress.
She is such a sweet girl who cares people so much.
I had met her only once before this wedding, but I felt that I would like her a lot.
I feel happy when my friends get married with someone who is nice and someone whom I would be able to get along with.
These people in the picture above are the member of my table at the party.
People who attended his wedding party were global.
All people who were at my table could speak English including the two gentlemen from Germany.
The young guy is SPI, I heard.
We talked about crimes at the wedding.

After the party, more of their friends came to the hotel and had a cocktail party.
I could see some old friends from University of Denver, so it was like a reunion.
Almost all friends I got to know at the school now became great business men/women.
There are so many things I could learn from them and I am lucky that I have so many connections through them now at a business situation.
I was introduced more people who graduated from DU before I entered the school.
We went out to drink after the cocktail party by ourselves with 13 people.
Masaru, groom, joined us at the end and some of us went back to his hotel and had pink champagne at a bar which was located on the highest floor.
Great view and nice champagne!
Today, I drunk and talked so much.
What a good day.
I am glad that I was invited his wedding, and I think I became happy too by seeing the happiest couple today.

Reunion

Old Company

Today was the 20th anniversary of my former office where I taught English to kids.
I had been a teacher for 4 years at a private school.
The kids I taught were more than 200, and I loved that job.
I had wanted to be a teacher since I was an elementary kid, so my dream came true when I was 18.
My boss was one of the persons whom I really respect.
I learned a lot about how life would be.
I used be a student of the school when I was 13-16.
So today I could see my old teacher, my colleagues, and also my former students who also experienced a teacher job.
It was a reunion, and I had such a good time with them.
When I worked there, I had experienced a lot.
I met so many kids and their parents.
I was scold so many time from my boss about my behavior, looking, the way to speak, and so on.
When I was down, there were always my companies to cheered me up.
I had had mean kids as my students, so I had cried a couple times.
There were kids who relayed on me and trusted me.
I taught how to teach to my younger colleagues whom I still hang out with.
Some of my kids came to school with drunk when they were 14, and had to call their parents and had a meeting till 1 am.
I was about to be rape by a 15-year-old kid, whom went on crazy by studying too hard.
I was only 18 years old to 22 years old, still young kids, but I put all my energy for the teaching job.

We had such a good time with such a good food.
Each of us had to give a small speech.
It was so interesting to listen to everyone’s memory about the school.
I was kinda nervous to give a speech in front of my old teacher and a person whom I really respect.
But I talked about my memories with them.
There were two things that I learned from my boss which I still keep in my mind.
One is that “Be the person who can care about more stuff than other people”.
This helped me a lot when I lived in American as a minor.
The other is that “Never limit what you can do. Say yes when you are asked to do something. Then your capacity will be bigger and bigger”
To be honest, my work is over my capacity now, but I still remember what she said, so I am trying really hard to make my capacity be bigger.
It was a nice reunion party today, but I drunk too much till midnight.
I am glad that I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.
