Dancing Night

Dancing Party

It was a fabulous night!
After work, I was incited to a party as a dancer.
I danced Hula at a bar for unknown people.
I am not a real dancer, so not sure if we were good, but it seems like they enjoyed our dance.
We danced the one we are now practicing for a stage in March.
These are members!

After we danced, everyone danced.
There was a professional social dancer at the party.
Somehow, I danced with the dancer.
I always wanted to learn social dance so I was so happy to dance with him.

During we danced, I shouted to my friend, “I got it!” and dancer guy was laughed.
I guess I did not get it, but I thought I got it.
Well, but enjoying dancing was the best no matter how I dance, right?

After the social dance, Brazilian girls came to the bar to dance!
Samba!!
Oh my, look at her costume!!
Wow...
We all danced Samba with them.
They were there for like 20 minutes, but I wonder how much they get to paid.
They were good by the way of course.
It was my first experience to watch samba right in front of me!

What a night!
It was so much fun.
Now I am ready to learn social dance!

Cakes And Wine

Lots of Cakes and Glasses of Wine

I went straight to a photo studio for our new products.
It is always fun to see how they set up and are taken pictures.

After the photographs, I went to an airport to take a flight to Tokyo.
Again, I have a business trip to Tokyo.
I went to Tokyo office to meet someone and do some paper work.
And, here it comes, I had to go to see a lady who gave us claim.
I got really scared to see the actual person.
I visited her apt, but she was not there, and could not see her.
I got disappointed, but at the same time, I got relieved a little bit.
I left a gift and a note to her.
Hope she would forgive us...

After the visit, I went to a meeting to discuss about current food industry.
It was my first time to join this meeting.
It was interesting...
The topic today was "Christmas Cakes".
This is $150.00 US cake!

I did not have time to have lunch so I was so hungry, but the only meal I could get at this metting was appetizer, and after the little meal, we just had so many kinds of cakes and so many glasses of red and white wine.

Macarons was this year's trend, but I don't like them...

This was my favorite.
It was so delicious, so I had two pieces!
But I was so full...

Berry tart is always popular.

These are cakes which are made without flour and eggs for people who has allergy.

Okay, by the time I had this, I was so full and drunk...

Too many Christmas cakes.
I had good red wine but drinking with cakes is pretty tough...

This meeting was finished at 10PM.
I took a cab to a private bar.
I was invited to a party for a year‐end party.
I met lots of new people there too but also I could see many of my favorite people who met this year.
I had a couple more glasses of wine there and left at midnight.
I did not have enough energy to be there till it ends.
Merry Christmas...

Lunch, Party and Bar

Eating and Drinking Whole Day

Had lunch with m second father, Maekawa-Kun, my father’s best friend.
He takes my sis and I for lunch sometime.
Mostly Sushi at fish market.
The best Sushi!!
Had Sushi a lot and went to café to have coffee and cakes.

Went to back to work, real world…
I was sleepy since I ate too much.

After work, I attended birthday party for employees of our company.
This time, employees who were born in October or November.
This was my fourth time for me to attend.
Wow, that means that I have worked for my dad for four years now…
It was quiet party but very nice opportunity for me to talk with employees whom I don’t talk usually.
Nice.
This was a part of our dinner at the party tonight.

After the party, I went to Jazz bar with my assistants and a co-worker.
All girls but drunk a lot.
Today's band was really nice.
5 of them play Jazz at such a small bar was so great!
It was quite a concert.
Had an apple salad which the master of the Jazz bar make.
It was yummy.

One of my assistants came to apt to spend a night tonight since we drunk till too late to go back her parents' home.

I ate and drunk too much, seriously.
How can I go on a diet?
But it was such a fun nice day!

What A Big Day!

Cry and Laugh

I went to work at Tokyo office today.
When I happened to see my old classmate from college at my friend’s meeting, we scheduled to see each other again in Tokyo.
His dad died when he was college and now his mom is running business.
He is taking over the family business, and I thought we have similarities.
We had lunch and talked for c couple hours.
He was not a smart guy but really really nice and kind but quiet guy.
We barely talked each other since we take almost all the same classes.
It has been like 8 years since the last time we hang out but we decided to hang out more from now on.
I thought boys change dramatically by their job!!
After nice chat with my friend, I went to see a famous consultant.
He was really strict and gave me so many advices to me.
I shouldn’t have, but I cried in front of him.
I was scared, and I got shocked and, and , and… I just could not help crying.
I have no longer have a people who tell me the truth or strict thing to me.
Very spoiled only because I am a daughter of CEO.
Probably I cried because I was happy to meet unusual business person who gave me honest opinion face to face.
I really appreciate him now.

This is a party I went tonight.
A birthday party for a guy who takes care of me really well lately, and also one more guy who is CEO of a fashion brand, who is on the picture above.
The guy on the left is a famous guy in music world.
I would say all Japanese know him.
It was a crazy party.
Lots of model, Miss Universe, Miss something, and so on.
I felt I was such a short shorty litlle girl.
There were so many celebrities at the party.
Tokyo is crazy, and I can’t believe that my life is getting change like this.

After the party, I went to go out to drink with my friend.
After drinking more, we went to eat Ramen (noodle) at 2 in the morning.
Uhhhh, I shouldn’t…

Ah, it was such a big day!!

Girl's Night

Drinking with Fever

I am sick now.
I have a cold and I have throat ache, stomachache, and nose running.
I was high because of fever and tiredness.
So I finally took a medicine and got a little better.
The reason why I took medicine was because I had to go out with girls from work.
We have girls’ night like four times a year.
Since I usually talk a lot, they expect me and one more girl to entertain the table.
I was really not feeling to, but after I started drinking, I felt better and we had great conversations.

We went to Karaoke after dinner and it was all right.
I was just so tired and sleepy.

I was so ready to go home, cuz it was like 11:30 PM.
But elder lady said she did not drink enough and she feel lonely.
It seems like she have had problems mentally a bit, she came to me this morning and we talked a bit.
I was worried about her, and also I thought it would be rude to say no since she is older than I.
She really wanted to talk about her problems.
I took her to a Jazz bar in my town, since she loves Jazz.
We were there till 3 in the morning.
I am sooooo sleepy now, but writing this with drunk.
I had such a good time at the bar as usual.
I was so happy that she wanted to share her problem with me today.
She said I should tell her my stuff too, but I didn’t.
She kept saying that I am too dry and she wanted to be closer to me mentally.
It is kinda rare to be told that someone wants to be close to me.
I was happy but I was not confident that I would be open to her completely.
She is a nice lady, but I never be able to be close friends with colleagues, somehow.

We talked a lot with other customers at the bar.
It was fun.
But I am sleepy.
I should go to bed now…

I can’t go back to read what I just wrote, because I am soooo sleepy…
G’night.

Brazilian Wedding

Brazilian Wedding

I woke up in a tiny hotel room this morning with hangover by phone ring from someone.
My face was puffed up and looked pretty bad.
I had to get ready and had to go back to Osaka cuz I supposed to have a meeting with my boss.
I could sleep in a bullet train pretty good.
I went straight to my office in Osaka and worked for a while.
Then, I got back to my apt and got ready for my friend’s party.
At Brazilian restaurant in Kobe.

He, Shin, is my friend from college.
Most of my girl friends have got married so now it is my boy friends’ turn to get married.
He is the most romantic boy whom I have ever met in my life.
His story about his proposal for marriage was so cute and really dramatic, which made me not smile, but laugh.
She grew up in Brazil and they met in Brazil.
Now she graduated from school so came to Kobe to be with him.
Both of them are Japanese, but they both speak Portuguese perfectly.
Interesting.
He is such a sweet guy, who care about others so much.
This girl is really lucky to be with with this guy.

Their wedding party was very Portuguese-like.
Very fun and easy.
There are so many of Shin including some professional football player from Brazil.
He is a son of the player.
He was sooooooo cute!

It was really like college-reunion.
There were some people whom I had not met for almost 10 years.
Interesting to hear what they do now for money.
We decided to keep in touch from now on.
Glad that they said that I have not changed from my college days.
Still look young!?

It was such a nice party and I could get relax so much.

Cherry Blossom Viewing

Spring Has Come!

I went to visit a company which we are doing business together now.
They throw cherry blossom viewing party every year.
This was the first time for me to join this party.
I love the owner of the company.
He is my mom’s friend who was in the same tennis club as my mom’s.
He is 60 years old, but he is good shaped and such a gentleman.
Since the party was hold from 5:30PM, I could come home earlier than usual!
They invited about 200 people to their company, which has a beautiful cherry blossom trees.
They had a band, and lots of good food.
I ate and drunk with viewing cherry blossoms!

I love cherry blossom trees.
I grew up surrounded lots of cherry blossom trees.
In Japan, we start everything in April.
So when I entered elementary school, I was taken a picture with a new uniform in front of my house under lots of cheery blossoms.
Form April 1st, new employees comes to our company.
Lots of fresh faces.
Cherry blossoms made me feel really good, and made me feel very positive about many things.
People tell me that my face has been changed lately.
Some asked me, “Are you in love?”
Because love makes people look happier.
Humm, am I in love??
I always wanna be in LOVE!

Masaru's Weeding

Happy Wedding Sunday

I woke up early this morning to leave to Tokyo to attend my best friend’s wedding.
I was excited about the wedding, but at the last minute, I started worrying about my dress.
I wasn’t sure if I was wearing the right dress for wedding.
Since I am always late for everything, I was about to be late for the wedding today.
I did not pay attention the schedule on the invitation card I got…
However, I was able to attend the ceremony at a chapel so I felt relived!
Worrying about time is always hassle and makes me tired more than necessary.
I should learn how to be on time someday soon.
Anyway, Masaru’s wedding ceremony was great.
I was so moved at the ceremony.
Somehow I had a weird feeling, hard to explain, but maybe because I was a friend of the groom.
Different feeling from the wedding ceremonies I attended for my girl friends.
Whenever I attend the ceremony at a chapel, I always think that wedding is such a big deal.
There are some couples who never had a wedding, but I think people should do a ceremony even it were a small one.

After the ceremony, we attended their wedding party with having luxury lunch.
The bride, Aki, changed to a pink dress from the wedding dress.
She is such a sweet girl who cares people so much.
I had met her only once before this wedding, but I felt that I would like her a lot.
I feel happy when my friends get married with someone who is nice and someone whom I would be able to get along with.
These people in the picture above are the member of my table at the party.
People who attended his wedding party were global.
All people who were at my table could speak English including the two gentlemen from Germany.
The young guy is SPI, I heard.
We talked about crimes at the wedding.

After the party, more of their friends came to the hotel and had a cocktail party.
I could see some old friends from University of Denver, so it was like a reunion.
Almost all friends I got to know at the school now became great business men/women.
There are so many things I could learn from them and I am lucky that I have so many connections through them now at a business situation.
I was introduced more people who graduated from DU before I entered the school.
We went out to drink after the cocktail party by ourselves with 13 people.
Masaru, groom, joined us at the end and some of us went back to his hotel and had pink champagne at a bar which was located on the highest floor.
Great view and nice champagne!
Today, I drunk and talked so much.
What a good day.
I am glad that I was invited his wedding, and I think I became happy too by seeing the happiest couple today.

Party!

Party To Celebrate A Success Of Conventions!

I am drunk.
All members in Osaka who joined two conventions we exhibit last February and March got together tonight.
We went to shitty Italian restaurant close to our office.
11 of us had such a good time.
I had a headache since I laugh too hard.

We went to Karaoke afterwards.
It has been a while since the last time I went to Karaoke.
We had such a good time.
The members who went to Karaoke after dinner were all young.
So I felt like I went back to my high school days.
I took cab with all other people who live close to my apt.
Ahhh, I can’t stay up any later tonight.

Only Girls Allowed

Party Girls!

Today was the first day for me to work at R&D department.
I gave a little speech at my former department, and everyone was so surprised.
I felt relief that I don’t have to hide my position change to anybody anymore.
I moved most of my papers and files to other building.
There are two guys to help me moving so much stuff.
I felt a little sad, but at the same time, I am very excited to manage R&D department.

At night, all girls at our department went out to drink.
There were 13 women at our company.
We had such a good time.
When I started working, I was almost the youngest and there were only four women, but now I am one of the oldest business women at our company of 13 women.
We had dinner at my friend’s restaurant, which serve lots of vegetables.
After we ate, we went to bar and had a drink.
We are going to Hawaii next month, and I will teach all the girls Hula
I am not sure if I am capable to teach Hula, but I will try.
We will wear Hawaiian dress all together and dance in front of all workers.
I am so happy to have these nice companies.

New Year's Party

Love Company Event

Today, we had New Year’s Party of our company at Chinese restaurant.
Early this morning, we heard what our company’s goal this year.
I got motivated a lot by hearing it, and now I really want to do my best whole this year till I leave this company.
What can I do?
I would like to leave a great success at this company before I go.
I love this company and all employees.
So when we have this kind of event, I get really excited.
The men on the picture are a leader of Nagoya branch and Hokkaido branch.
I can’ get to see them that often, so we drink a lot together when we have this kind of event.
Some of the employees told me, "I love you!!". (Of course they were drunk)
I love them so much too, and I feel really happy to hear that they say that they want me to work with them.
As I am a daughter of the owner, I was not sure what other employees feel about me when I started working here.
There were people who hated me and people who tried really hard to be liked by me only because I was a daughter of the owner.
I think there are still some people who feel like that way.
However, it is true that there are employees who see me as a normal person now.
It took a while but now I have worked with lots of people and we share a lot of things together.
I am so glad that I came back to Japan to work for this company.
I still remember when I had a hard time to decide if I should come back to work for him.
Now I know that I made a right decision although this is not my job forever.

When we are excited to challenge new thing for a new year, it is a good idea to get together and share the ideas.
I am going to sell our products a lot this year!
I am going to produce new products this year!

Today I left my office without my apt keys.
My mom who got my key is in Hong Kong now, so I was in trouble.
I asked younger employee who left at office late to bring the key to me.
I feel myself too bossy to ask such a thing.
How come I am so careless…

Reunion

Old Company

Today was the 20th anniversary of my former office where I taught English to kids.
I had been a teacher for 4 years at a private school.
The kids I taught were more than 200, and I loved that job.
I had wanted to be a teacher since I was an elementary kid, so my dream came true when I was 18.
My boss was one of the persons whom I really respect.
I learned a lot about how life would be.
I used be a student of the school when I was 13-16.
So today I could see my old teacher, my colleagues, and also my former students who also experienced a teacher job.
It was a reunion, and I had such a good time with them.
When I worked there, I had experienced a lot.
I met so many kids and their parents.
I was scold so many time from my boss about my behavior, looking, the way to speak, and so on.
When I was down, there were always my companies to cheered me up.
I had had mean kids as my students, so I had cried a couple times.
There were kids who relayed on me and trusted me.
I taught how to teach to my younger colleagues whom I still hang out with.
Some of my kids came to school with drunk when they were 14, and had to call their parents and had a meeting till 1 am.
I was about to be rape by a 15-year-old kid, whom went on crazy by studying too hard.
I was only 18 years old to 22 years old, still young kids, but I put all my energy for the teaching job.

We had such a good time with such a good food.
Each of us had to give a small speech.
It was so interesting to listen to everyone’s memory about the school.
I was kinda nervous to give a speech in front of my old teacher and a person whom I really respect.
But I talked about my memories with them.
There were two things that I learned from my boss which I still keep in my mind.
One is that “Be the person who can care about more stuff than other people”.
This helped me a lot when I lived in American as a minor.
The other is that “Never limit what you can do. Say yes when you are asked to do something. Then your capacity will be bigger and bigger”
To be honest, my work is over my capacity now, but I still remember what she said, so I am trying really hard to make my capacity be bigger.
It was a nice reunion party today, but I drunk too much till midnight.
I am glad that I don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

All I Want For Christmas Is...

What?? Party?? Food??

I can’t really write much tonight, cuz it is 2 in the morning and I have to get up early tomorrow…
We had Christmas Party at my parents’ house tonight with everyone’s friends.
We have had this Christmas party every year for a long time.
We have some of same faces every year, so all the people at the party get closer and closer.
Since my mom decided to have this party on Christmas Eve, which is such a big deal for Japanese people, I could not invite many friends, but only Shinsuke.
This is why I had to argue with my mom the other day.
I think it is too silly to throw Christmas party on Christmas Eve, and she did not ask me about it ahead.
We had small numbers of people for our Christmas this year, but at the end, I realize that it is not that bad.
We had such a great time.
I love Christmas.
Japanese Christmas is more for lovers, so a little different from American Christmas, which is more for family time.
I love spending my time with my family on Christmas and love spending my time with someone I love.
I just don’t like to go out on Christmas Eve, because it is not worth it since everywhere on Christmas Eve is too ridiculously crowded with many couples.

Anyway, this year, as every year, food was all my mom’s handmade so they are all good.
All the menus are food I only can eat at our Christmas party.
We had so many dishes and 6 kinds of homemade desert.
Oh, I ate too much.
We opened all Christmas presents underneath of our Christmas tree all together.
This is our family traditional thing to do.
This year, I got an orange color lamp from my sis, and got black bag from my mom and dad, and I got three kinds of necklaces and boots holder from Santa Claus.
Yeah, I still get Christmas presents from Santa although I am 29.
Well, it is our tradition thing.
Anyway, I had such a good time and good food tonight.
Gotta go to bed.
Getting too late…

Forget About 2007??

Forgetting Yeat Party

I was invited Japanese traditional “Bonen Kai” (Forgetting Year Party), which is held at the end of the year, by boss from other department.
I was the only one who was not belonging to the department, but since I hang out with those people from the department pretty often through work, they invited me.
Actually, I was invited from many other departments too, but I won’t go all.
This is not because I am popular, but I think they fell that they should do since I go to each department everyday and I am the only one who works every department.
It is nice of them to invite me still, but I don’t think I can afford anymore…
Also I have to have the same parties with my friends and other work-related people too.
This is interesting Japanese culture to have party at the end of a year and the beginning of a year.
Basically, we just get together, drink and chat.
To forget about the past whole year, we do “forgetting year party”, and to wish a good year, we do “New Year party”.
Both are quite the same thing, but for people who loves drinking and partying, this season must be the happiest one!
I will have a couple more parties till I finish this year.
Not to forget about 2007, but to enjoy the party with many kinds of people.
I actually don’t want to forget about 2007.
It has been such a dense year.

We went to Korean BBQ in downtown Osaka.
We had “broiled (pieces of) pig innards”-according to my dictionary for translation, but does not sound right.
Well, they were not pig but beef, first of all.
And we had weird parts of them such as neck, stomach, chin and so on.
It might sound gross, but actually tasted good.
On the way home, I got sick on a train.
Lately I get a ride sick pretty often.
Bullet Train is the good place to finish my reading and work, but recently I can’t…
In bullet train, train, bus and car, the entire ride made me sick.
Gotta figure out what’s wrong with me, otherwise, I can’t do anything while I am transporting.

Okay, I should go to bed now.
One more day to go till I get a day –off!!

Snoopy Wolrd

Being With Snoopy

I went to a meeting for Snoopy Licensees in Tokyo.
We are one of the newest licensees, so our company was introduced in front to more than other 200 people.
My boss gave a speech, and that time, I was more nervous than the time I had to give a speech in front of those people.
It was the most interesting meeting that I have ever joined.
There are some Americans from NY and Santa Rosa, who are related to snoopy character.
The presentation they gave was with all snoopy cartoons, and was fun.
I saw a snoopy fashion show which was held in NY this year on a screen.
All dresses were quite crazy, but I loved the wedding dress, which was sooo silly dress, but cute!!
At the lunch, I talked with the American guy who showed the fashion show.
I asked him where I could get the wedding dress, and told him I would wear it if I would get married in two years, which is our contract year with snoopy licenser.
Unfortunately, since some of the other dresses were sold on ebay, but not the wedding dress.

At lunch, we had three huge snoopy cakes.
This cake of this picture is one of the cakes, which were all snoopy!
They were all cute!
I have loved snoopy since I was a kid, and now I sort of work with snoopy.
I get to know many kinds of snoopy information now.
All people I saw at this party (meeting) know snoopy a lot.
I never thought I would do this kind of job.

All the attendees got a bag of presents.
Got a lot of snoopy items.
This is such a dream job which I had ever had!

I was at the place from 10 to 16, and had an appointment afterwards.
It had already got dark, but I had to go back to my Tokyo branch to finish up my paper work for this Saturday meeting.
I was suffering for a couple hours till 9PM, and went to drink with my colleagues in Tokyo.
4 of them were older than I, but since I am on a little higher position, I paid for them.
So Japanese… I still feel that is sort of rude for elders.
I don’t know how they think about it.
I don’t get much more money than them, but that’s a role for people who hold an administrative position.
Came back to hotel at midnight.
No more alcohol this week… please…

I am 29 years old

Birthday in 2007

I became 29 years old on October 29th.
My friend threw a big party for me, and forty people came to the party on Monday after their work.
I was so moved that so many kinds of my friends came to celebrate my birthday.
It was my first experience to celebrate my BD with that many friends.
I was really afraid of becoming 30 when I was 27 and 28 somehow.
I was very afraid of being old.
However, this year, I got very positive idea about my age.
30 will be my next stage of my life, so I shoud be excited about it.
Now only one year left before becoming 30.
I don't wanna regret of anything, so I will do my best while I am 29 years old.
Last spurt of my 20s of my life!
