One More Day Left

What else Do I Have To Do?

Yeahhh! Love vacation!!
I stayed up as late as I wanted last night and woke up at noon today.
No make-up with glasses.
I look like that I am wearing wig.
Humm, I can’t like my hair style now…
Anyway I did laundry twice and cleaned my room a bit today.
I have to finish cleaning my apt tomorrow since tomorrow is the last day of 2008.
Well, what else do I have to do in 2008?
Am I satisfied with everything happened in 2008?
Hummm.
I should have studied more.
I should have lose my weight.
These two are something I can’t establish by one day tomorrow, so I guess I will leave them for next year.
Other than that, year 2008 was pretty good I think.

I had dinner at Tofu place tonight.
There were so many beautiful dishes at the dinner course.
Most of them were tofu menu, but I love this dish the best because of this presentation and the taste.

I took these two girls, who used to work with me at an English school, for dinner.
One still work at the English school, and the other is going to move to Tokyo as a lawyer.
They were now fine ladies and I am so happy to have them as my sisters.
We had nice dinner together and went to Karaoke.
I realized that I love singing.
Maybe I wanna have an audition if it is not too late…
I want my life a bit more exciting.
Am I asking too much?

Three Silly Girls

Girls' Party

Uhhhh, it was a busy day today!
Lots of trouble happened, so I had so much extra work.
Trouble is bad, but at the same time, I get excited when trouble happens.
Because it is the time I use my brain and figure out how to solve the problem quickly.
And I made it.
Everything went well at the end.

I was late for dinner with my girl friends.
Eri is a girl whom I met when I was 13.
She was the one whom I went to South Dakota for home-stay when we were 14.
Now she got married with my friend and have this cute baby, Kan.
Kana is a girl whom I met when I was 18.
We used to like the same guy.
Now she got married but still work for Armani.
We were all different, but we used to hang out so much together.
All we talked were about boys.
All of our ex boyfriends were good friends.

We have not got together for a year.
But I did not feel like it.
All of us got changed, but we felt like we went back to teenagers.
We did lots of stupid things a long time ago, but now we are fine adults, I guess.
I felt a little bit behind, actually, though…

Back to My College Life

Dinner With My Friends From College

This is not Pizza.
This is Korean Pancakes called Kimuchi Chijimi.
I went to dinner with my friends from college in Japan.
One of them is now pregnant, and I felt a little weird to see her big stomach.
I am so looking forward to seeing her baby!!

Today I had a pretty good day because of my new assistant.
He works really well and our combination is pretty good.
We are doing research for something in the US now.
Nobody could do any faster than we did.
We talked a bit by ourselves before I left office today.
He asked me not to make him go to the US with me on April 23rd.
I asked him if that is his anniversary or something.
He said, “no, but important day”.
I did not ask him any more because I don’t think I should know.
But now I am kinda worried.
Maybe he will have a job interview on that day?
I might ask him tomorrow although once I told him that I did not wanna know.
Because it would be a big deal for me if he will leave our company!

It is always nice to see my old friends.
Whenever we get together, we can go back to our old age.
Now each of us lives in a different world, but we are still good friends.
It is fun to listen to somebody else’s life which I never have experienced.

We went to Café after the dinner.
There were so many foreigners at the café.
The guy who took our order was very cute so we asked him where he was from.
We were all surprised that he was from Colombia, who can speak Japanese very fluently.
I ordered an apple pie but it was totally different from the picture, so bitched about it.
However, they did not care what I said.
Their sweets were not good at all.
I bet they make a lot of money by the cute foreign waiters but not by their food or sweets.
Humnnnnn.

Aloha In Waikiki

Hula Girls On A Stage

I started washer for my laundry last night, and before it got done, I fell a sleep.
I was so tired, but I got up at 4AM and took all my laundries out from the washer and dried them, and checked all e-mails.
After the mess, I went back to sleep and got up at 9AM.
I packed my suitcase for Hawaii and left to have lunch with my sister.
I hung out with her for a while and left to the airport.
I was not excited about this Hawaii trip much, because I was not interested in traveling all the people from work.
However, after busy days from convention, I was getting so excited and was looking forward to going to Hawaii with them.

I had to take Northwest airline which is the last airline I choose.
I don’t like their service and I think their airplane is cheap.
All of us sat in a group, and I sat next to a huge guy who smelled like sweat.
I feel bad that I don’t know his name, but I talked with him nicely for a while.
Since our flight was only for 6 and half hours, I was rushed to get a sleep.
Because we were going to get to Hawaii at 8:30 AM, I thought I would get a bad jetlag.
So I was sleeping but the guy split a glass of water ON me.
I asked a stewardess to give me a new blanket, but she blamed on me saying that I overreact with water.
She goes, “It’s just water. Let it go”.
Her behavior pissed me off.
I told her, “I am not a kid, so I know it is just a water and it would get dry. But it is wet now, and I feel uncomfortable. Do you have a new blanket?”
I argued with her a while and decided to write a comment card.

I can’t believe people who are in a hospitality business do such a bad behavior!!
Anyway, we arrived at Hawaii and of course, I was stopped at the immigration.
It happens a lot lately because I have so many stamps on my passport.
It is such a hassle all the time.
After we left the airport, we took a sightseeing bus and did sightseeing and shopping.
It was fun to see all my colleagues’ private style.
Most of their fashion is out of the day.
They wear suits all the time, so they don’t have good taste for their private clothes.
Kinda funny.
We had 100 year anniversary party for our company at Hyatt in Waikiki outside.
8 of us danced Hula with Ukulele players and singers.
Everyone wanted to take a picture with us, and we were like famous star.
People praised my dance since I was the only one who has practiced Hula for 2 years, and other practiced only 2 days.
I could talk with a lot of my bosses and colleagues and had such such a good time.
My dad and mom were there too.

After the party, my roommate and I went out to town.
All the stores open till 10or 11PM, unbelievable!
We shopped a lot and had ice cream at Cold Stone!
I missed all this American life!
It is soooo fun.
I think I can getaway from work for these 3 nights!
Yeahhhhhhh!!!

Only Girls Allowed

Party Girls!

Today was the first day for me to work at R&D department.
I gave a little speech at my former department, and everyone was so surprised.
I felt relief that I don’t have to hide my position change to anybody anymore.
I moved most of my papers and files to other building.
There are two guys to help me moving so much stuff.
I felt a little sad, but at the same time, I am very excited to manage R&D department.

At night, all girls at our department went out to drink.
There were 13 women at our company.
We had such a good time.
When I started working, I was almost the youngest and there were only four women, but now I am one of the oldest business women at our company of 13 women.
We had dinner at my friend’s restaurant, which serve lots of vegetables.
After we ate, we went to bar and had a drink.
We are going to Hawaii next month, and I will teach all the girls Hula
I am not sure if I am capable to teach Hula, but I will try.
We will wear Hawaiian dress all together and dance in front of all workers.
I am so happy to have these nice companies.

My Girls

Girls' Night

Good thing and bad thing happened today.
I took an operation today.
It was a laser operation for depilation for my important part.
I felt a sense of humiliation while I was taking this operation.
More than that, I could not understand why I had to be taken pictures of my important part of my body.
It was hurt, damn hurt!!!
I don’t want to take the operation anymore…
I felt really bad afterwards…

I went to buy some more lingerie today and made me feel better.
Today I took my girls out to an Italian French restaurant, which is close to m apt.
I tried to go there once before soon after I moved, but they only take an reservation guests.
It was a nice restaurant and they also sell flowers so I bought a bouquet for my apt.
These are girls whom I have being taking care of.
Two of them are my colleagues at my old work place.
One used to be my student and now she is working as my assistant at my work place.
We talked a lot and had such a good time.

After we ate, all of them came over to my apt to hang out.
I showed off all my lingerie which I bought recently.
It is fun to have a night for girl's talk.
Now we live in a different field, but we have lots of similarities.
Nice to have good company around me.
I will definately have a good week from tomorrow.

Can't take a bath tonight because of my stupid operation...
I will feel cold tonight...

Girl's Night

Entrails Dinner

I got recover from food poisoning after I threw up everything.
So I went to work and I was quite energetic today.
I can’t believe how much work I have to do after my absence.
Because I was so busy today, I was almost throwing up…
But it is true that when you are so busy, you can get a lot of things done very quickly.
I was quite satisfied about my work today although there are still things to do left.
After work I went to Hula lesson.
I would not tell my mom about it, cuz she is gonna piss me off since I just got recover from food poisoning.
I thought I should not, but I promised to do dinner party with my friends from Hula lesson, so I could not make the girl, who made a reservation, gets disappointed.
We went to a restaurant which is famous for entrails pot.
There is much garlic in it, so I will be so stinky tomorrow for sure...
It was soooooo good though.

We all got to know each other through Hula lesson.
We work in different field, have different experience, are different age, and have different stories.
We take lessons for two years and now we are good friends, but it was the first dinner with all of us together.
Although the Hula lesson finishes 8:30 at night, we went to dinner from 9PM.
We could get together for dinner to do “Forgetting Year Party”.
Of course we don’t talk about year 2007, but we talk about work, boys, and Hula.
We got our own small room for dinner, so we talk and laugh really loud.
We talked till 11:30 so I took cab home.
I was afraid of getting sick again, but seems like I feel good now.
I drunk and ate a lot, though.
We will have another party in the beginning of 2008.
Everyone teased me about food poisoning so they said we are going to oyster bar for the next party.
If so, I would not go for sure.
I am scared so I would not eat oysters for at least one year.
Anyway, we had such a good party tonight.
It was a good day!

Freiends Forever

A Peaceful Day

Since I went to bed 3 in the morning last night, I slept in till noon today.
After I got up, I went to Spa in downtown and went shopping afterwards.
I bought a lot of pantyhose, color tights, and a pair of short pants.
Shopping is the best way to motivate myself from busy days at work.
I met my friend from my elementary school.
We get together once in a while still now.
When we were junior high school students and high school students, we went to soccer games once a week for three years.
We were crazy about Japanese soccer player and we went to see the players a day before the game at hotel.
She got married once and got a kid but now she got divorced and live with her family with her kid.
And now she is in love with somebody and we talked about him a lot tonight with drinking.
Usually I am the one who is talkative between friends, but whenever I see her, she talks whole time and I am the listener.
We have been friends for almost 20 years, and we know about each other a lot.
It is so nice to have this kind of friend.
After we drunk, we both stopped by at my parents’ house and took this picture.
My parents were happy to see her too.
I dropped her off at her house, and saw her daughter, who is three years old, for the first time.
Such an adorable daughter!
I felt kinda weird that my friend whom I have known since she is a kid got a kid!
Today was such a peaceful day with my old frined.
Ready to go back to work tomorrow!
