Hisami and Yu
I slept like a rock for 12 hours today.
I just did not want to get up.
I know that it is bad to sleep like this once a week, but I can't help it.
I got up like at 2 in the afternoon, and went to meet up my friend, Hisami.
We have been friends for 21 years.
Wow, so long!
She got married once and have a cute girl.
We went to buy her present from Santa.
I got something for her too.
So fun to look kid's toys and dresses.
She is now trying to find a guy who wants to get married with her again.
We are the same age but because of her experiences, I feel that she is more mature.
We went shopping and had dinner and drink.
She is a girl whom I see twice a year.
We are good friends, so we don't have to see each other often but whenever we see, we can catch up really quick.
We will see each other in summer next, maybe.
What A Coincidence!
Today, I woke up and I went to a seminar about Snoopy.
I was late since I misestimate the time.
What bad businesswoman…
The seminar was mainly for designers who arrange snoopy picture to use for their own packages or items.
Therefore, it was lectured by a designer and lectured all about fashion trend in 2009.
It was sooooo boring.
So many technical words for fashion and I had no idea…
I had business lunch, and after that, I had a little meeting at café.
Since that was a casual meeting with my boss, I had parfait, my favorite desert.
Since it was a parfait at a tearoom attached to a fruit store, it was different.
More delicious than any other parfaits I had.
Since the meeting was over quicker than I though, I went to the airport at 4:45.
I supposed to take 6 PM flight, but could change to 5PM flight.
I called my mom soon after I got off the airplane, and got to know that my dad was at the airport too.
So I called my dad and went to restaurant to meet up to my mom.
It was such coincident that my dad took the same flight with me on the same day.
I had not talked with my dad for a long time, so it was a nice conscience.
He was excited to see me and talked a lot about work.
He said, “it was so nice to have you at dinner tonight. Sooo nice to see you tonight.”
I was so surprised to hear that, since he has not said such a thing for years!!
We had Okonomiyaki and icecream.
Oveall, it was a nice day.
I could go home early enough and could get relaxed!
Fun Work
I got up really early for morning meeting this morning.
Worked really hard.
However, during my work, I wrote my resume and turned in to travel agency.
I am not sure if I want to change this current job, but I wanted to know if I am acceptable person for other companies.
It was kind of fun to review my life to write my resume.
I had a business dinner with my co-worker and also one more person who works in the same industry but at the different company.
I like both of them.
Although it was a business dinner, but I had a really good time and it was fun.
I was a person who had to arrange this dinner.
So I took them to a restaurant which is next to my apt.
After dinner I took them to my bar.
They liked both of them and they got really drunk.
Once they got drunk, it means I did enough.
After I see them drunk, I got releaved and I started drinking and now I got drunk.
Since I am so drunk now, I had a piece of Japanese pear.
It is a huuuuuuge Japanese pear, which my sister got from a boy.
Very expensive one.
Tasty.
Need to sleep.
I hope I would not get hangover tomorrow...
Board of Director's Dinner
Today was a day which all the board of directors at our company get together.
I am not one of them, but they let me join.
We get together and talk about one topic to make sure that all of us are looking at the same vision.
We do this one-hour meeting once a month, and three times of a year, we go out for fancy dinner.
This time was traditional Japanese dinner.
This is our special menu there.
It was a nice night.
I went out to drink with three of them after this fancy dinner.
We all drunk sooo much and talked about work for hours and hours.
I think I love talking about my work.
I drink everyday lately…
Eating Too Late
I slept over this morning.
Today was the day we had morning meeting, so I supposed to be there 30 minutes earlier than usual.
But I was late.
I can’t believer that I did that, although I am boss…
I felt so bad, but I came into office like I did nothing wrong.
I swear that I would never be late!!
Putting make-up in a car while I was driving this morning.
Ahhh, I should have not stayed up late last night…
Monday is the day I have work the most.
I was going to go to gym, but I could not make it since I left office at 9PM.
So I went out to eat and had rolled cabbage.
I used to cook rolled cabbage and I think I am good at cooking the recipe.
But their rolled cabbage was good too.
I learned putting cheese on a rolled cabbage is a good idea.
BTW, I have to stop eating at this late at night.
When should I go on a serious diet?
Dinner With My Friends From College
This is not Pizza.
This is Korean Pancakes called Kimuchi Chijimi.
I went to dinner with my friends from college in Japan.
One of them is now pregnant, and I felt a little weird to see her big stomach.
I am so looking forward to seeing her baby!!
Today I had a pretty good day because of my new assistant.
He works really well and our combination is pretty good.
We are doing research for something in the US now.
Nobody could do any faster than we did.
We talked a bit by ourselves before I left office today.
He asked me not to make him go to the US with me on April 23rd.
I asked him if that is his anniversary or something.
He said, “no, but important day”.
I did not ask him any more because I don’t think I should know.
But now I am kinda worried.
Maybe he will have a job interview on that day?
I might ask him tomorrow although once I told him that I did not wanna know.
Because it would be a big deal for me if he will leave our company!
It is always nice to see my old friends.
Whenever we get together, we can go back to our old age.
Now each of us lives in a different world, but we are still good friends.
It is fun to listen to somebody else’s life which I never have experienced.
We went to Café after the dinner.
There were so many foreigners at the café.
The guy who took our order was very cute so we asked him where he was from.
We were all surprised that he was from Colombia, who can speak Japanese very fluently.
I ordered an apple pie but it was totally different from the picture, so bitched about it.
However, they did not care what I said.
Their sweets were not good at all.
I bet they make a lot of money by the cute foreign waiters but not by their food or sweets.
Humnnnnn.
Where Is My Dinner?
Lately no food in my apt.
This is baby squids by the way, which I ate at a Japanese restaurant the other day.
Whenever I eat out, I can get delicious food.
But I sometimes wanna eat at my apt.
I got home at 10:30PM tonight, and there was nothing to eat.
I went to a store to get two rice balls.
I wanna go on a diet, but I hate not to eat anything.
Eating right is the best way for me to be healthy.
I did not do anything special today so my entry today is boring.
I was just at office and did lots of desk work and meeting.
The more I talk with my boss, the more job I get, and I get too busy to go home early.
So sleepy tonight.
I will skip taking a bath tonight, and am going to go to bed now.
This Is What I Ate For Dinner
This is all I ate today for dinner.
I had so much stuff to eat at work in this afternoon, and I got full.
I went to Hula lesson tonight, it has been a month since the last time I took the lesson.
This was the first time since I danced Hula in Hawaii.
So today’s lesson was such a good one.
I love dancing!
I have to get up at 5 to get a flight to go to Tokyo for work tomorrow morning.
I can’t write much tonight.
It was kinda hard day at work today with emotional workers…
With New Items
I went to work with a pair of new suits today.
It seems like I look skinny in that suits, so I got lots of good comment today, and made me feel good whole day.
It is important to be happy especially because it is Monday, the first day of the week.
I wore a new orange necklace, but it seems like it looked really cheap.
It costed $80 US! But people said it looks like $10!
Ah, maybe I should not bought…
I did not were these shoes today, but these are the shoes I bought the other day, which I love!
I can’t wait to wear them!
The only reason I did not wear today was because it rained today.
I worked quite hard today, but there were so many people who talked to me at work, so it was hard to do everything I wanted to do in order.
I was going to go to gym tonight, but a girl who works for me came to me and she said she needed to talk.
She looked serious, so we decided to go for dinner instead of going to gym.
Then she said, “My boyfriend broke up with me”
I expected that she was going to talk about work, so I was surprised, but at the same time, I felt happy that she trusts me like this.
She talked to me how she felt, and I tried really hard to cheer her up.
I really think after you got a broken heart, you can be much stronger.
I told her being broken up is better than breaking up.
She is a pretty and nice girl, so she should be find and will find a nicer person, I hope.
Boys and girls relationship is hard!
Being boss is interesting.
We discuss lots of stuff including their love relationship.
Who Is The Right Person For Me?
I went to work this morning.
I have to go to work every weekends lately…Bummer…
After I went to work, I went to Spa.
I think I should stop going to spa this often, but when I am at the spa, I can get relaxed.
Today I was going to hang out with my sis, but I totally forgot about other appointments.
I got call from Shinsuke and he wanted to make sure if I am coming to see him and his colleagues.
“Shooot!” He mentioned about the dinner thing 2 weeks ago and reminded me today!
I totally forgot about so I felt guilty but I canceled an appointment with my sis.
Recently I forget many things…
Before going to the dinner, I stopped by my apt and checked my e-mail.
And I was shocked by e-mail from my ex boyfriend.
The e-mail was basically about him being worried if I am trying to get back with him.
I was very surprised because I could not figure out what made him to get worried, and I felt sorry to make him worry.
I am a person who keep in touch with all my ex boyfriends because I was in a deep relationship with each of them, and they are important to me.
I was in love in them so much, that’s why I still want them to be a part of my life with a different type of good relationship after breakups, is it weird?
Afterwards, I was thinking that maybe the ex got worried because I have not been in a serious relationship since we broke up.
As I am busy and had no luck, I haven’t had much opportunity to see someone new.
Also I can’t feel, “Oh, this is THE guy!” to anybody lately.
So at the dinner, we were talking about “How to meet THE guy”.
One guy told me that first I should analyze what kind of person I want to be with.
When I was young, I wanted to date with cute looking guy who is more than 20 cm higher than my height and funny and gentle…etc
To find THE guy when I was young was easy.
Now I don’t care about looking, but inside!
It was kinda fun to analyze them and to discuss about them.
It was fun to listen to other people’s opinions about what they want their girlfriends have too.
Girls’ perspective and boy’s perspective are a bit different.
Here are what important to me.
1. Someone who loves his family and will love my family.
2. Someone who let me do what I really care without bothering me.
3. Someone who is sincere, not a liar.
4. Someone who has a big dream for his life.
Boy’s opinions were
1. Someone who can cook well.
2. Someone who understands what I am doing and does not complain.
3. Someone who has the same hobby.
4. Someone who can share the same space with doing different things.
He said if the points you find a person who clears these points, you should go for it.
We were at the restaurant for 4hours and a half.
Except Shinsuke, I had never seen them, but they were quite interesting people.
Don’t Wanna Go Home
Today, we woke up early and went to “The Original Pancake House” which is my favorite Pancake place in America.
Five of us went to the place and had 5 kinds of panckes.
Of course we got hella full.
So we decided to walk to shopping center and took a walk for an hour.
And we went back to beach and hung out by the beach.
We all bought new bathing suits and we wanted to show off.
We were going to go there only with girls, but of course there were male colleagues around the beach close to our hotel.
So we were kinda embarrassed.
I was the only one who has dark skin, so I got lots of sun tanning.
And we went back to hotel to take a shower, and left to “Cheese Cake Factory”.
Look how messy our table was.
We ate many kinds of cheesecakes like we do at work.
We have to taste each of them, so we used our own folks and took a bite from each cheesecake.
We were totally full and I had a stomachache because of eating too much.
But I was so happy to lied down in a beach and took a nap there on Monday, which we always work.
And we could take a shower as many times as we want, and had alcohol from daytime.
How nice it was!
Everyone went off to shopping, so I decided to take Lomi Lomi massage.
I went to Spa and took it for on hour.
I felt sooooo good.
And I went back to a shopping mall, and had dinner there.
I threw up at night by the way, not because of drinking too much, but I had upset stomach.
This happened last night too.
How come I can’t control how much I eat…
On the way back to hotel from the restaurant, we did some more shopping and went back to hotel at 11PM.
Most of stores in Hawaii open till 11PM.
From 11PM till 2AM now we stayed at one room and chat.
The guy who kept talking was hilarious.
Everyone was sleepy, but nobody could stop him.
It was like a trip that we had in high school days.
We have to go home tomorrow, but I don’t want to.
I don’t have confidence to go back to work from the next day we go back to Osaka.
Anyway, I should go to bed not to be late for tomorrow meeting in the morning.
Shopping and Eating
My roommate woke up at 6 and left to diving lesson.
I woke up at 8:30 and had breakfast buffet at the hotel.
I went to Alamoana Shopping Center and did lots of shopping.
I bought such a cute dress at DKNY, and also I bought other stuff too.
I saw a DKNY dress on Vogue and I was dreaming to get it.
I tried it on, but it looked like I am pregnant, so I bought a different one which is even cuter.
I had Jamba juice which I missed a lot.
Banana Berry!! It tasted good as usual!
I wonder why they don’t sell it in Japan!
I forced lots of my colleagues to have one.
After shopping, I went to Italian restaurant with my bosses and their wives.
We had Italian, and I was in charge of ordering.
I talked with my dad about the menu beforehand, so I ordered well, but they were too much.
And also I got pretty drunk after I said goodbye to them.
Probably, I was a little nervous in front of my bosses.
I checked my e-mails and I saw some boys from our company.
They saw my shopping bag and asked me where the store is located, so I took them to the store.
Lots of walking and eating in Hawaii.
So far, I had such a good time in Hawaii, which might be the best time in Hawaii ever.
We are going to “The Original Pancake House” tomorrow morning and will go to beach.
I bought bikinis last night, so I can’t wait to wear them!
Better Forth Day
Today, I got such a big bump in my body.
I don’t feel like writing where on this blog, but I never had it before, and it hurts so much.
Maybe because of this first experience.
I am very worried, and I am nervous because I am going to go to Hawaii soon after this convention, so I don’t have time to go to hospital…
I hope this is not anything serious.
Today was the second day of the convention.
An American guy came to me and asked me if I speak English.
He kept telling me that I don’t look like full Japanese.
And he introduced himself and he asked me to give him some brochure.
He was Charles M Schulz’s grandson!!
He said he works for Del Monte, so he was at the convention too.
I was excited, so I talked with him for a while and took a picture.
I thought this is great that I saw his grandson, so I took a picture with him.
However, after we took this picture, he grabbed my butt.
Still I stared at him and I was like “Huh?”
He asked me what I was going to do tonight.
Excuse me??? I am not interested in you old man if you are not Schultz’s grandson!!!
Now I wonder if he was really Shultz’s grandson…
Maaaaan, I was disappointed with this guy who came to Japan from Utah.
I hope I was not deceived, I hope he is still Shultz’s grandson who is such a stupid American who thinks they can get Japanese girl so easily.
Anyway, today, I went to Tokyo branch after convention.
I had to take care of some stuff there.
My boss said he wanted to talk about some plans for the next day.
He took me out for dinner, but we did not talk about serious stuff at all.
My feet weren’t hurt as much as they were last night.
I think I am getting used to.
I did better than yesterday at the convention so I will do much better tomorrow.
Tomorrow will be the last day!
I will definitely get a big business tomorrow!!
Gourmet First Day
I took a cab to the airport, and took 7AM flight to Tokyo.
Thank god that I live really close to the airport.
I often miss early flights somehow, because I am not good at getting up early.
Today, I made it!!
I had two assistants for today, but did not have much stuff to ask them to do today…
I felt bad, so I let them go for marketing research in Tokyo.
I myself had lots of stuff to do.
I went for lunch with my favorite colleagues.
He knows lots of good place.
I had curry udon, which was really good.
After we finished preparation, I decided to take a girl who works for me to dinner.
I took her to a nice Italian restaurant.
I wanted to talk with her in person because now I am her new boss, and I thought she has some worries.
I talked with her a lot by eating nice dinner.
This is how they serve Cesar Salad there.
We had ham with fresh melon and mango, and the mongo was the best ever!
We were so hungry and ordered pasta and this fried onion pizza.
Obviously they were too much for two girls.
We had such a good time with nice night sight in Tokyo.
She said she believes in me and will follow me.
I am such a simple person, so her saying encouraged me a lot.
It has been a tough work situation lately, but I got motivated.
I supposed to motivate her, but she motivated me.
Oh well…
Massage and Beef Pot
Yeah! I did not go to office today!
I slept in, and went to Spa before noon.
At spa I got a letter from technician, and it was such a cute letter, and made my day.
I turned in a couple of my pans and skirts which I will wear at a convention to clean, so I had to go back to the department store at night.
So I decided to go to massage place where blind person gives a great massage for one hour.
I had not been there a while, so I felt really good.
I am so spoiled by getting treatment at spa and getting massage at other place in a day.
And I went back to my apartment to pack my stuff for tomorrow for 5 days in Tokyo.
For dinner, I asked my parents to take me to a restaurant where I can get a nice beef.
I thought I would not get good food for 5 days from tomorrow.
So this white beef pot was such a good idea for the last night before busy busy business trip.
Tonight’s dinner hit my spot!
After dinner I went back to department store to pick my stuff up, and took a bath.
I just ordered a cab for tomorrow morning at 6.
I wish, I wish everything would go well from tomorrow.
I am really nervous to be honest.
Good thing that I could get relax the day before the convention today.
Lots Going On In Tokyo
I took an early flight to Tokyo from Osaka.
It was snowing in Osaka but it was clear in Tokyo.
It was just so cold in Tokyo.
I could not sleep on the airplane today somehow, so felt 50 mins flight was long.
I got to Tokyo earlier for an appointment, so I was not thinking hard enough about transportation.
So I took super express train without noticing.
Therefore I had to get off the train at a wrong station which was far far away from the station I had to get off.
Therefore, I was late for the appointment three minutes…
Also after the appointment, when I was on a train, I got confused and was not sure which way I was going.
So I got off the train, and soon realized that I was on the right train.
How silly!
But the good thing is that I saw this quiet area in Tokyo.
Look, there is a horse which is for a horse gambling race in Japan.
I had never seen horse race, and fun to look at this horse which was taking a walk.
I went to Tokyo station to check out chocolates.
Now there are so many interesting chocolates for Valentine’s Day.
And I went to Tokyo branch, and worked a bit.
After work, I went out for dinner with Mr.Yachi who went to MBA school at DU.
I have known him since I went to DU as a college student.
Now he works for one of the famous distribution company.
I wanted to know about importing stuff from abroad.
I was thinking to learn about them, but we ended up talking about totally different thing.
I had not seen him probably too long.
I feel that it was much slower day today compared to my days in Osaka.
I have to go back to Osaka by an early flight again tomorrow.
However, I feel that I could take a little rest with working because of being in Tokyo and being away from my desk.
Okay, now I think I should go to bed in this tiny business hotel room.
In total, I will be staying in Tokyo for 24 hours, such a short trip…
By the way, today I felt I eat for EATING.
Had an orange as snack, and also had an orange jelly on the picture above.
And had dinner, of course.
It was a nice dinner!
This was the last thing I had today.
