CURRY AND RICE

Super Spicy Curry

I take Hula Dance Lesson on Tuesdays.
It starts at 7PM and ends at 8:30PM.
Although I want to eat before the lesson, I always have to run to the place from work without eating anything.
I know it is not to good to eat late at night, especially after my exercise.
However, I am always too hungry to go straight home, so I eat out with my friend every Tuesday.
Yesterday, we went to Curry House, “Indian Curry”
Their curry is sooooooooo good but really really spicy.

There is only a counter, which about 15 people can fit.
The only menu they have are curry, hayashi rice (sweet curry, sort of).
Since it is very spicy, we can order raw egg dropped on it, so it makes a little mild.
When I was a high school student, I went there with my friends with a rule that we only can drink one glass of water.
We sweat a lot and struggled, but still we loved their curry.
Each person stays there the longest 15 min to eat, and there are customers all the time, not only at lunch time or dinner time.
One order is $8 US.
I wonder how much they make a day…
I bet they can make a lot of money….

SANDWICHES

My Favorite Sandwich

This is my favorite place for sandwiches in Osaka, Japan.
I have been here since I was a little kid.
When we have Christmas party at home, we order bunch sandwiched from here besides my mom’s home cooking.
Their specialty is Deep Fried Pork Sandwiches.
Look how think the meat is!!
I always order with Banana juice.

This is the picture of the café.
It is a tiny café, not fancy or anything.
However, it is always crowded.
Whenever I go there, the old man, who works there all the time, talks to me very friendly.
He sometimes goes, “What a weird matching! You are friend with them?”
It sounds like he remembers me, but at the same time, it seems like he is just pretending like he knows me.
I feel that way because he tells that kind of thing to anybody.
When I went there after a long time, he stays friendly.
It is good customer service, but I wonder he knows me or not…

Nintendo Wii

Wii

I got Nintendo Wii at home!
There are so many kinds of games in Japan now.
This is sort of crazy that so many people try to get them.
I am not a big fan of computer games, but I have played Family Computer (I am not sure if you had in the US), Super Family Computer, and a normal Gameboy.
When we got Play station at home, I had no idea how to play, so did not play at all.
I always wonder why little kids can figure out how to play those.
When I worked at Hyatt in Denver, there was a gamers’ convention.
So many gamers come to stay at the hotel, talked about games, and played games.
It was such an interesting atmosphere.

I did not like when my boyfriends are crazy playing computer games.
Why? Cuz it is no fun for me since I had no idea how it worked.
I am interested in learning how to play those, but at the same time, I am afraid to be into games.
If I got crazy about games, I would play it 24/7, I am that kind of person…

Anyway, this Nitendo Wii is a gift for somebody, not for myself.
Now I am thinking to buy DS for my long business trip in next month.
I don’t know if I should, though…

PHONES

Too Many Phones To Carry

These are cell phones I use.
Three cell phones are too many to carry, and each phone has different charger, different way to use, and different bill.
I have three cell phones because of my work.
I have my private one, company one which my work related people call, and customer service one for my Internet business.
When I am not at desk, the calls from customer translate to this phone.
To tell the truth, I thought it was kinda cool to have so many phones with me.
But soon I realized this is an awful thing to do.

When I went for business trip, I lost my private cell.
Since I have these many cells, I did not realize that I lost one of them.
When phone rings in my bag, I always grab different one, and feel frustrated.
When I am in a train I have to turn off all the phones, and other people give me a look like I am weird person.
Well, I heard nowadays we could have one phone which has many numbers.
I wish I can get that kind of cell now…

FRENCH

At Friend's Restaurant

This is the inside of a kitchen where Dave works.
Dave is my boyfriend's good friend.
He is really into food, and he is a really good cook.
When I went to SF for researching food, he gave me lots of advice, and he can talk about food forever.
I really respect him because he loves cooking, and study about it hard, AND make money by cooking.
I think not so many people can love their own job like him.
I got surprised at knowing that he even makes vegetable at his garden and thinks about cooking and does cook on his day offs.

This is one of the dishes at a restaurant he works.
Once I went to a French restaurant where he worked in Berkley.
It was the best French I had ever had.
It was the first time for me to go to that fancy restaurant with my parents.
We had really good wine and tons of great food.
Since then, I have to go to eat at a restaurant wherever he works!
My boyfriend took me to the place when I was in SF last time.
This restaurant was much bigger than the one in Berkley where he worked before.
There were lots of people who dressed up.
He let me go into his kitchen, and it was fun to see how they worked.
It is fun to eat Dave's special food!

Japanese Restaurant

Japanese Restaurant In My Home Town

This is a welcome dish at a Japanese restaurant, where my family goes.
At most of Japanese restaurant where you can drink, you have to pay a cover charge.
The cover charge is for this kind of welcome dish.
Look how beautiful it is!

This is my favorite appetizer, a trepang (a sea cucumber, dictionary says).
It looks gross, but it taste really good.
I heard the news that Japanese is now complaining Japanese food which was created in the US.
They try to protect real Japanese food from the fake one.
In my opinion, I don’t get why they care.
If you start saying such a thing, there are too many fake foods all over the world.
I feel there are other stuffs we have to care.
And also, it is fun to see what kind of “Japanese Food” they have in each country, and it is so funny that they have totally different food but call it “Japanese Food”.
I actually like “Chinese Food” in the US more then “Chinese Food” in Japan.
I even don’t know which one is real.

This is crab.
Yummy, but lots of work to eat.

This is the entrance with a wife of the owner.

OUR PRODUCTS

This Is What I Sell

I sell sweets on Internet.
The name of my brand is "MARCIA&JERRY"
Most of our products are frozen.
This is the package we made.
Since Valentine's Day is coming soon, I decided this color and design.
This is all original!
We make all sweets by hand, and we use really good stuff to make our products.
They are expensive, for example, this is $35 in US dollars.

They are what I really wanted to make!
Pink and Black cheesecakes.
Each of them are quite small, but they are really rich.
The red one tastes strawberry cheesecake.
And in the middle of the cake, there is white chocolate.
The black one is a normal cheesecake colored black by coal, which you can eat.
And in the middle of the cake, there is black chocolate.

It is hard for me to think one new item every month, but I feel really happy when they make exact the same thing I imaged like this cheesecake!
