One More Day Left

What else Do I Have To Do?

Yeahhh! Love vacation!!
I stayed up as late as I wanted last night and woke up at noon today.
No make-up with glasses.
I look like that I am wearing wig.
Humm, I can’t like my hair style now…
Anyway I did laundry twice and cleaned my room a bit today.
I have to finish cleaning my apt tomorrow since tomorrow is the last day of 2008.
Well, what else do I have to do in 2008?
Am I satisfied with everything happened in 2008?
Hummm.
I should have studied more.
I should have lose my weight.
These two are something I can’t establish by one day tomorrow, so I guess I will leave them for next year.
Other than that, year 2008 was pretty good I think.

I had dinner at Tofu place tonight.
There were so many beautiful dishes at the dinner course.
Most of them were tofu menu, but I love this dish the best because of this presentation and the taste.

I took these two girls, who used to work with me at an English school, for dinner.
One still work at the English school, and the other is going to move to Tokyo as a lawyer.
They were now fine ladies and I am so happy to have them as my sisters.
We had nice dinner together and went to Karaoke.
I realized that I love singing.
Maybe I wanna have an audition if it is not too late…
I want my life a bit more exciting.
Am I asking too much?

The Last Day Of Work!

Last Work Day in 2008

Hell yeah! It was the last work day in 2008!!
I felt year 2008 ended pretty quickly, but I can say that I work soooo hard!!!
So damn hard!!!!
I went to work today and cleaned my desk, greeted everybody to thank for taking care of me in year 2008
Also, I looked around all of our factories to see if they are clean enough.
That's my habit to do at the last day of my work.
Not only for checking, but also I show my appreciation to the factories for making goof products for a year.
And I found this broken computer backside of our factory.
Who threw this computer to our territory!!!!

After my work at office, I went to see someone to sell our products.
Yes, I went for sales on my last day of work!! ( So they should buy our products)
It was a good drive to visit the office, by the way.
Went to Kobe and this is the view from their office building.
I wanted to go to IKEA, but did not stop by because I have more than enough furniture in my apt...

After work, I went to see Ryohei and Yoshi, who are my old friends from YMCA camp.
I met them when we were 13.
Whenever we see each other, we tease each other talking about 17 years ago.
Yoshi in the picture just got back from Latin America, and he promised me to take me around Latin America!
Can’t wait!!
We had miso pot, and after that I took them to my bar close to my apt.
We had a couple drinks and chat about lots of stuff.
They were such good friends of mine, and I am so lucky to be able to get together t\with them whenever I want.
This is the only reason that I am afraid to move to some other country,
I have good friends here.
Well, my result of my job interview will be announced soon.
What do I want??

He is funny crazy guy.
Can’t believe this crazy guy settled, and got married, but I am so happy for him:)

Lazy Lazy Day

In My Dream

I had such a lazy day today.
I slept in which is my favorite thing to do.
In the afternoon, I finally decided to take a shower and left to massage place.
it felt really really good so I went home and decided to spent the rest of my day in my bed.

Somehow since last night, whenever I sleep, I had dreams about my ex-boyfriend.
It did not mean that I miss him, but maybe because I saw his wedding picture at our common friend's house the other day.

These dream made me think of him.
He was my first love when I was 13 years old.
When I saw the pictures, I did not get jealous but felt weired that I was not next to him.
We had been frends since I felt in love with him, and we started dating when I was 18 for four years.
We were such a cute couple, always fooled around and did lots of things together.
At the same time, he controled me so I did not have my own life by myself.
I did not have any other experience besides him, and moreover, I was really young at that time.
At the end, I thought he was the most annoying person because he bossed me around.
I was pretty bad at the end and our break-up was pretty mess.

After we broke up and after each of us got a new boyfriend/girlfriend, I realized that he loved me so much, so we cheated on each other's pertner.
But we did not get back together.
And after a couple years I left to the US, but we still kept in touch.
And during my stay in the US, he gave me a chance saying that he would wait for me till I go back.
I was thinking about it a bit but I got another boyfriend, which made him very upset.
I might thought he would love me forever whatever I do, but nothing lasts forever.
He finally gave up on me and now he got married with the girl he dated after me.
I think he made the right decision though.

I wonder if I can find a guy who would love me like he did to me in my life.
If I find one, I promise that I would not feel annoying about him!!
I really miss the days we had fun together.
When you are young, you can do anything, so when you are in a relationship, you can get excited more than we can do now.

Humm, I don't know, but I just felt like writing about my old boyfriend today.

Cleaning Day

Suppose To Be The Last Day

It was the last day for our department at work.
We clean all the rooms and our desks in the morning, and we have noodles all together for lunch and close the year 2008.

I woke up at 8:13 this morning, and I freaked out!
I had to get to my office at 8:45 so I usually get up at 7:00.
Since I was so drunk last night, I did not set up the alarm...
I tied my hair up, brushed my teeth, grabbed my make-up stuff, ran outside and took a cab.
Thank god, I got my office on time because it was Saturday and no so much traffic.

We cleaned our office with the uniform which I'd never worn.
It was kind of fun to do unusual thing.

This is my last tasting for work.
It was pretty good.
I supposed to finish working in this afternoon, but I could not finish working...
I still left some more work, so I will go to work one more day on Monday with people from other department.
My year 2008 will be end soon.
I just need to get a rest tomorrow and will feel better.
I will definitely go to get massage!!

Hangover

Hangover But Drunk More

I woke up at my hotel in Tokyo and oh my god!! I had really a bad headache.
Yes, hangover…
I had never gotten hangover, but since last year, I sometimes get hangover.
Probably it is because of my age??

I took a flight to go back to Osaka, and had lunch with my sis, and went back to my office after.
It was a pretty busy day at work, and I did not feel well because of hangover headache…
I really did not feel like going out to drink tonight, but look at me, I look really happy in the picture.
Yes, I finally felt better after work.

We talked a little about work, ate a lot and drunk a lot of course.
It did not take much time for me to get drunk tonight.
Everyone could tell that I was tired because I could not stop yawning...
How rude...

Although I was tired and wanted to go home, drinking out with co-workers from sales department is always fun.
They are such nice and funny guys.
They can drink so much, and if I drink as much as they drink, I would die.
I just get a little worried about the 23-year-old girl who just entered to our company this April.
She lives with her family and I bet her parents get worried about thier daughter if she gets home at 1 in the morning.
What a bad boss I am...

Cakes And Wine

Lots of Cakes and Glasses of Wine

I went straight to a photo studio for our new products.
It is always fun to see how they set up and are taken pictures.

After the photographs, I went to an airport to take a flight to Tokyo.
Again, I have a business trip to Tokyo.
I went to Tokyo office to meet someone and do some paper work.
And, here it comes, I had to go to see a lady who gave us claim.
I got really scared to see the actual person.
I visited her apt, but she was not there, and could not see her.
I got disappointed, but at the same time, I got relieved a little bit.
I left a gift and a note to her.
Hope she would forgive us...

After the visit, I went to a meeting to discuss about current food industry.
It was my first time to join this meeting.
It was interesting...
The topic today was "Christmas Cakes".
This is $150.00 US cake!


I did not have time to have lunch so I was so hungry, but the only meal I could get at this metting was appetizer, and after the little meal, we just had so many kinds of cakes and so many glasses of red and white wine.

Macarons was this year's trend, but I don't like them...

This was my favorite.
It was so delicious, so I had two pieces!
But I was so full...

Berry tart is always popular.

These are cakes which are made without flour and eggs for people who has allergy.

Okay, by the time I had this, I was so full and drunk...

Too many Christmas cakes.
I had good red wine but drinking with cakes is pretty tough...

This meeting was finished at 10PM.
I took a cab to a private bar.
I was invited to a party for a year‐end party.
I met lots of new people there too but also I could see many of my favorite people who met this year.
I had a couple more glasses of wine there and left at midnight.
I did not have enough energy to be there till it ends.

Christmas Eve W Family

Christmas Eve

Christmas is an event I love so much.
I am not Christian, but I just LOVE Christmas.
Why? Because nobody get in fight on Christmas.
Oh, wait a minute!
I was scold pretty bad today, actually.
My phone at office rang in this morning about my Internet business.
The customer did not tell me her name and started yelling at me suddenly.
She ordered our product and it did not arrived the day she arranged.
That’s our bad, so I will fly to Tokyo to apologize to her.
It is kinda scared but what else can I do?
Customer service is difficult, but I learned a lot from her claim today.
I immediately read through two books how to deal with customers who clam.
We are trying our best, but sometimes it does not go perfect, unfortunately…

Christmas season is the busiest season at our company since we sell cakes and ingredients for cakes.
However, I did not do overtime today!
Cuz I had a party at home!!
Christmas Eve had been a day to spend with a boyfriend but this year was different.
I spent Christmas Eve with our family, four of us.
We also celebrate my sis’s birthday, which was on December 20th.
I got soooooooo many Christmas presents.
I get excited to see the underneath of Christmas tree every year.

It is so nice to spend the special day with my family.
I talked with my dad today as my dad tonight, and it made me soo happy.
He had been my boss for a long time but not my father, and I thought I did not have my father anymore.
Seriously.
But my father was there!

It was pretty rough day at work, but it was very nice and warm night with my family.

Lots Going On

A Big Day

Wow… I did a lot today.
Today was a Japanese holiday so I did not have to go to work.
However, I woke up at 7 in this morning, took a shower, put make-up on, and wore suit.
Because I had an interview.
It was on-line interview.
It supposed to be on skype with mike and camera.
So I cleaned my room and made myself look neat.
However, their camera did not work so it was just with sound.
There were two interviewer, one was from main corporate and the other was from Chicago office who was interested in me.

It was my second interview and I was pretty excited but when I heard that the office who would hire me was in Chicago, and which made me get shocked…
So I am not sure if I did well on that interview or not.
They just liked the fact that I take Hula lesson somehow.
I will know the result in a few weeks.
We’ll see.

After the interview, I went to lunch with my best friend from elementary school.
We see each other once a year now, and we report how we have been and also we discuss what we would do till the next time we see each other.
She is a good listener and analyzer so I made myself really clear after I talk with her.
By the way, I felt a little guilty to eat steak for lunch.
But it was soooo damn good!!

After I say bye to my friend, Sakura, I went to down town and did some shopping for holiday gifts.
It is a lot of work to find gifts but I kinda like it.
I got so many bags from shopping.
I also got presents for my Hula friend as Santa!
Oh, I did so many walking…

After shopping, I went to Hula lesson one hour before the lesson starts.
We practice for an event we will attend in January for my friend's favor.
We supposed to practice but we just chat and fooled around.
At lesson I danced pretty hard.
I felt really good.
I love Hula dance.
I will be Hula Instructor when I turn to 70 years old for sure!!

Ahhhh, I did a lot today.
Pretty active, huh?

Talkative ot Not Talkative??

Not Feeling Like Talking

Yes, I am talkative.
However, I sometimes don’t wanna talk.
I had so much to think today,

I was thinking what made me happy…

Anyway, I did not talk much at office and everybody got freaked out.
It seems like my assistants thought that someone made mistakes and I was mad.
I went to a lunch to research for food and sweets made by Chinese herbs with one of my assistants.
She said that she was asked by everybody that to whom I was mad at after we got back when I was not there.
Oh boy, I have a day that I don’t feel like talking much…

It was a gourmet day with my Hula friends.
We went to have this Korean pot.
It was spicy and tasty.
I will smell pretty bad because of lots of garlic, but should be good for my skin!
We talked about happiness.
One of them worked for a company which related to Toyota.
She lost her job because of this world situtaion.
Obama!! Change this world!! Please!!

After dinner we walked to Ritz Carlton and we enjoy their Christmas decoration.
And we had a cup of coffee and chat again.

I did not feel like talking today, but I talked a lot at night.
Well, I am talkative, so what can I say?

Stomachache…

Being Sick

Damn it!
There is still one week left for me before winter vacation.
But I feel sick.
This is why I did not want to make a day which I don’t do anything.
I woke up this morning and had a bad stomachache.
I could not move and did not feel like doing anything.

So I did not do anything.
Lying on a bed quietly and waited till my stomachache got better.
My stomachache did not get better but now I have a headache too.
Ahhhh….

I gotta go to work tomorrow early and will have a party with my Hula friends tomorrow night.
Next week is all booked so I have no time to get sick.

Chose to Work

I was invited to a party in Tokyo from friends whom I went to Macau with.
(I gotta write about Macau trip, but I haven’t… oh well…)
I was going to fly to Tokyo, but decided not to.
I know that I have to enjoy being with my friends but now I feel that I should more concentrate on working.
Also I got tired more than I thought from Tokyo business trip yesterday.

I went to my parents’ to sign for a paper for my dad.
That was to get stocks for my dad’s company.
I feel guilty that I am secretly applying for another company.
What am I doing?

Today was my sis’s birthday.
She became 33 years old.
The more we get old, the better our relationship goes.
We still get in fight quite often, but I am happy to share lots of feelings with her.

Sis, thank you for being next to me all that time!

Get A Luck

Crap!!!

Crao! I got droppings on my coat and my bag this morning.
In Japan, poeple say that you get luck when you get droppings.
I had a white coat on, so I felt really sad and misserable.
I don't know how I got them.
Crap...

I went to Park Hyatt this afternoon to meet a business related person.
We had lunch at "NY Grill" at park Hyatt.
Look this beautiful sight.

There are great buffet style of appetizers and I was full by lots of appetizers.
My main course was this Risotto.
It was pretty good.
And we had another buffet style of deserts.
There were 15 defferent deserts.
Oh my god...
Anybody!! Please stop me eating!!!


After lunch, I ran to the airport and caught a flight to go back to Osaka.
I went back to my office in Osaka and get everything done.
I was away from my desk just a day, but there was a pile of papers...
Not only papers, but also lots of tastings.
I ate so many quiches.
And guess what?
I went to eat French for dinner.
I promised to go to a French restaurant with my favorite artisan.
I did not feel like eating, but they were good.

I think I gained 20 punds this week...

Tokyo Trip

Tokyo Business Dinner

I went to work at my office in Osaka in this morning as usual.
And in this afternoon, I flew to Tokyo.
I went to Tokyo for a meeting with a designer and a business dinner.
Today's business dinner was Nabe.
Appetizer was Shanghai club.
It was such an expensive restaurant which normal people can't make a reservation.
This is a fun part for me to be able to go to this kind of restaurant with a rich successful guy.
He loves to take me to many places.
And he introduce me so many people.

However, I can't gain anymore weight...
I feel that I am pregnat.
Oy vey...

Three Silly Girls

Uhhhh, it was a busy day today!
Lots of trouble happened, so I had so much extra work.
Trouble is bad, but at the same time, I get excited when trouble happens.
Because it is the time I use my brain and figure out how to solve the problem quickly.
And I made it.
Everything went well at the end.

I was late for dinner with my girl friends.
Eri is a girl whom I met when I was 13.
She was the one whom I went to South Dakota for home-stay when we were 14.
Now she got married with my friend and have this cute baby, Kan.
Kana is a girl whom I met when I was 18.
We used to like the same guy.
Now she got married but still work for Armani.
We were all different, but we used to hang out so much together.
All we talked were about boys.
All of our ex boyfriends were good friends.

We have not got together for a year.
But I did not feel like it.
All of us got changed, but we felt like we went back to teenagers.
We did lots of stupid things a long time ago, but now we are fine adults, I guess.
I felt a little bit behind, actually, though…

Chinese Food

Today was a day to go to a famous Chinese restaurant with Board of Directors from our company.
8 of us went to downtown and had this dinner together.
This is soup I had.

This is a mango pudding, which is my favorite desert.
Their Mango Pudding is one of the best ever.

I miss American Chinese Food.
Japanese Chinese Food is a little too fancy.
Also I miss Chinese food in Shanghai.
When should I go back to Shanghai next??

Bonus!!

Bonus Day

It was a Bonus day.
We get bonus twice a year.
It is depending on how hard we worked and how the result was for half a year.
My bonus was just "so so" this time.
Oh well. Still I have to appreciate that I could get extra money from work.

I supposed to go to gym tonight, but decided to go to Okinawa food restaurant.
The day we get bonus, all Japanese salary-men have to use money to praise ourselves.
We had never been to the restaurant, but I knew that it was a famouse good restaurant close to my apt.

And it was pretty good!

Shopping Day

I woke up and went shopping.
Shopped pretty expensive stuff.
Once in a year or twice.
I got a watch I have wanted for a while.
I thought I wanted a black one, but actually white one looked better on me.
Look how cute they decorate a watch!!
I got this to celebrate my 30th birthday, which was 2 month ago.
I got another watch when I turned 20 from my parents and I still love the watch.
For me, watch is really important, not only for looking at the time.
It is part of my body.
And when I wear my favorite watch, my motivation gets up.
It is really important for my life, believe or not.

When I went to Chanel shop, there were like a wonderland.
I wanted to get so much stuff.
I wanted to get bags, a pair of shoes, accessories, and a pair of sunglasses.
But I decided to get a ring.
Cute ring!
I am still thinking if I want to get the sunglasses.
Tomorrow is my bonus day, so gotta get something for myself.
Someone used to call my brand-horic.
But I am not.
Sometimes, I found great stuff at high end brand store.
Is it wrong??

Oh, by the way, oday was the day I get a result for my interview.
Guess what! I passed it!
I will have a final interview soon.
Excited to know that someone aprrove me in many ways.

Board of Director Meeting

After A Long Meeting

I thought it would be difficult to get up this morning since I went to bed at 3 in the morning, but I made it.
However, I took taxi to go to work because I wanted to read my paper for meeting.
It was pretty long meeting but interesting.
I am getting used to this meeting.

After the meeting I went to my parents’ and had dinner with them.
And I went to massage place to get Shiatsu.
I go there every other week.
Ahhh, I am so sleepy although it is only 10 PM now.
I gotta get up early for shopping to go shopping!
I will go find what I want from Santa for this Christmas.
Santa, please stop here!

I Complain

Working With My Boss Is Not Easy

I had a quick meeting in this morning about pie shell.
Recently, we have several R&D meeting about each project.
I feel we had too many meetings, but we have to…
After the meeting, I attended a manager meeting from each department.
I was an amanuensis for the meeting.
And I went to restaurant to meet a chef to ask for a comment about our product.
I always get nervous to meet chefs, since I have to have certain knowledge about cooking about technical things and words.
He was nice and I learned a lot from him.
Meeting with lots of famous people is fun part about this job.

Since my day went quickly like this by doing many things, I was late for dinner tonight.
I went out to drink with 8 people from sale department from Tokyo branch and Nagoya branch.
People from sale department are funny.
They know how to entertain people because of their job.
They are tough and drink a lot.
We were all drunk and complained about my boss.
I should not have complained about my boss to them, but could not help since he was so hard on me lately.
I felt a little relief that everybody had the same impression about my boss and wondering how to treat him.

We went to Karaoke after dinner till 2 in this morning.
It is nice to hang out with them once in a while like this.
Ah, I wish I were a member of a sale department.

Food Food Food

Eating Too Much

Today was an eating day.
I went to Thai food restaurant with my assistants for lunch.

At 3PM, I tasted lots of food by my co-workers who took a cooking class from our chef who has a contract with our company.
All of them tasted really good.
I had like 5 menus…
And I went to a party at night with people from other companies for work.
I was a hostess, so I arranged the time, place and everything.
Everybody like the restaurant I picked.
It was a restaurant with all chicken.

Lastly, we went to Sushi to drink more.
I can’t believe why we could eat Sushi after we eat a lot from the last restaurant.
More surprisingly, at the Sushi place, I met a woman who knows really well about me,
I had mever met her, but she knew my dad.
She hesitated to tell her name, but she confessed that she has known my dad for a long time.
Who the hell she was?
Is my dad a “man”, like others??
Oh well…
I don’t think she was my dad’s lover or anything, but let’s not tell my mom.

It was foggy this morning.
Very rare!!
Made me miss San Francisco!

I am sooo tired today since I was out of office most of the day.
I went out to eat French restaurant which was just opened at a new building last month and waited for this reservation.
My assistant and I went to BENOIT by paying $40 for lunch.
It was more than good food and we had good time.
We will introduce this restaurant at the meeting on Saturday to Board of Directors.
Believe or not, this is part of our work.

This new building was cute.
Of course we did not have much time to look around, but took a picture of part of their architect

After eating too much at the restaurant, we went to a couple department store to check out new products.
Guess what, I found our pie product at one sweets section at one department store.
Two days in row!
I bought some and tasted them.
Don’t look that good in this picture, but were pretty good!

I ate more sweets which some of my assistants bought after this.
Oh my, I don't wanna eat anymore...
